  1. Thanks Mick - so did Shawfield and Hampden at one time. I think perhaps St Mirren Park as well? I thought he meant currently though which was why I mentioned those two
  2. Berwick and Glasgow have both managed to get into bed with football clubs...
  3. Think the van is on loan to him and Joe Jacobs Pirate Nick by one of Glasgow's sponsors as a one off to help them get stuff oop north
  4. actually I think he was late as he decided to do a wee bitty sunbathing en route..... http://tinyurl.com/oy8vtpq
  5. well we will just have to disagree on that one. r/r points being removed mean Redcar shouldn't have been allowed a TR, in my opinion that makes it lazy and inaccurate. What happens if come the end of the season redcar are tied on points with another club for play offs and just get the nod? or if they are one point ahead and would have lost out if they were level? I suppose the one saving grace this time was they didnt just add them to the other sides score Probably wont affect anything other than another nail in the sports credability in the long run and theres more holes in that than a colander anyhow I suppose so why should we bother?
  6. Well the SCB then - although it did state the BSPA needs to get the request I dont say I 'know' better than anyone. Its basic. By just 'removing' the points not only is it lazy its inaccurate and basically means a rider who didnt finish a race is getting points. Basic really
  7. yet again the BSPA cant even get a change right. This is the second time that Redcar have benefited from the BSPA being to lazy to recalculate the scores properly (not having a dig at Redcar, not their fault) There should have been no facility for Pijper but if you recalculate the scores with the r/r scores removed it should be 41-47 as Redcar would not have been eligible to use a TR in heat 11. Took 2 minutes to work that out (well 'see it' realy, working out implies more effort!) - wonder why the BSPA dont?
  8. Shadders, he does sort of ride under an alias but int he UK - his name is Mikkel Beck Jensen but like yon Rye House geezer and a few Danes he amends it for his riding to Mikkel Beck He rides in Poland as well and on his Polish teams website there is a wee interview with him that indicates he hurt himself training. Rough translation (very rough!):- On Wednesday, I had an accident during training and now have pain in my back and neck. On Friday I tried just a few laps to see how my body feels before Sunday's meeting (in Poland). On the track, I felt good, but it was difficult to ride as if I was completely healthy - he told us Mikkel B. Jensen Its dated 7th July
  9. Murry Wilson was the Beach Boys manager - maybe Fred's looking for their final single?
  10. If you guys want this as a sticky to try and keep tabs on who is racing for it where/when once you get the info, just give one of us a shout. Good to hear its still getting raced for
  11. now we can *really* say these pesky monarchs havent a clue what day it is.... lol (or I suppose we could change the heading)
  12. he wouldnt have realised it was you Gem or he would definitely have said hello - he's a nice friendly chap. Hope you are having a good b'day!
  13. I dont think I've seen Ht in anything other than shorts Gem so it probably was - I reckon he's an honourary Aussie and would wear them in the snow as well lo
  14. pure bleedin brilliant! hats off to the Plymouth guys, bring a bit of fun and humour to the sport, show they can laugh AT themselves as well as with others. I dont understand why people think its bad publicity - I think its exactly the opposite. Certainly better than the 'petrol head' image that puts off so many who have never been. I hope you dont often get the chance to do videos like this as that would mean rain offs but long may your camera batteries last! Oh and nice bum btw
  15. Err.... the thread you refer to says no discussion in it, discuss elsewhere, so surely Phil IS sticking to it by making a request elsewhere - are am I missing something? not quite sure why you chose to add in a bit of your own to 21st CH's post saying dont start new threads - I think its up to Phil and 21st CH to decide that! And 21st CH's post clearly states - as you copied ' Discussion about the events can still take place on a separate thread' Maybe I am missing something... Ooops sorry oldace, I think I might have gone one better - cant help myself sometimes lol
  16. can you have an open revolution? lol Thanks merve I think Harley was mentioned as well though obviously after today we need to wait and see on that one
  17. Ahem! I think we are meant to call this one the red Revolution something or other (cant hear the tannoy where I am and you cannae get the staff these days as his nibs wasnt listening at that point - geez! lol)
  18. not sure I would agree with that glasgowmicktiger, for whatever reason (and I know the guys were having to contend with a broken bowser) I thought despite having obvious quality riders on show it was mostly from the gate and there were a few well spread heats get well soon Harley
  19. I think attitude off track and rumours of off track antics might have made teams think again about kalle
  20. I get the feeling I wasnt the only one caught out with the dates of average changes last Sunday....
  21. Im *hoping* that like me topaz needs a 'sarky' smiley and was just being a tad facetious Workington did absolutely nothing wrong, if people have a gripe its against speedway rules they should be aimed not Workington. In fact, if anything the Workington promotion should be congratulated for getting what was best for their club. As plenty of others have said if the shoe was on the other foot any of us would have wanted our promotions to do the same. We reckoned if Edinburgh had been made to go out without bikes today the score might have been a little closer - but only a little
