  1. They are / did and two Leicester fans were dancing to it 🫣
  2. Can confirm I am here with 9 others - actually the crowd is ok. Well down on Usual but not too bad - all these Tv delays are annoying tho!
  3. light rain south of Ipswich right now - should stop in the next hr its says - but for fecks sakes how many times has it done this in the 2024 season!
  4. Its dry and windy now so I suspect it will be provided no more rain (which isnt forecast) I plan to go anyway as for me live speedway trumps TV speedway anytime!
  5. He is and its far too early to say he's done well, been a success or failure.
  6. I suspect in another say 10-20 years speedway will still being going but it will be at places like Scunthorpe, Redcar Workington, BV where they have purpose built tracks on land owned by the club but not likely to be under threat of development. The racing should be good if nothing else!
  7. Weather may well get this one - grim so far but rain supposed to stop soon and be windy for the rest of the day
  8. As usual (a bit like with Politics, Business etc) everyone is very good at diagnosing problems, not so good at fixes! Over the years I have heard many fine speeches in various walks of life, often the people sod off the minute they had finished speaking never to be seen or heard again! If anyone thinks PM can solve these issues inside 2 seasons they are either very optimistic or perhaps (harshly) somewhat deluded! The ones i often find the most hilarious are those who claim to have long ago claimed to care about speedway yet still come on here to moan about it. Me - I just try and enjoy the racing - which in most meetings you get a few races you can say you know what I enjoyed that!
  9. Having decided not to go to the 2nd leg of the cup (which i perhaps regret now) I do intend to go to this, Home leg will be close i think, but expecting a Tigers v Lions final
  10. I think this actually sums up maybe the Ipswich issue - having either not been able to replace Doyle or deciding not too - they probably and reasonably felt they could get by with the team riding well and Emil covering the big heats - it was of course working until Emil got injured. The same could have happened to the Tigers, they have covered Tai pretty well with either R/R or guests - but if say Jack or Chris H had got injured (like Jack did last year) then who knows what might have happened, thankfully for Sheffield he hasnt! However Pickering has been sensational this last month or so - his performance at the NSS was really one to see!
  11. could have sworn the Witches won the cup last year - oh you meant the league playoff didn't you!😜
  12. Emils injury was a sliding door moment for sure, had he maybe sat back and settled for the 2nd place instead of trying to overtake Jack Holder he would in all probability not been injured, Ipswich would have lost the meeting or drawn it? I cant recall now and playoffs and cup finals might have been very different!
  13. join Eurosport for 'live' coverage of Shefield 88 Leicester 92 😅
  14. good point yes - like i said earlier lets review in 5 years or so
  15. Maybe so - but you can't change things from outside the tent so to speak! Being honest i gave up being interested in the morals and scruples of so many sports long ago! Just look at the premier league football!
  16. I am sure 'he" hasnt! 😜 Whatever shenanigans have gone on it won't have been just down to him!
  17. You need to allow him 5 years - the saying Rome wasn't built in a day is very true, Speedway has multiple problems and 2 years (2 seasons) is not long enough to solve them! I for one have noted some decent inovations and improvements - the programme quality is much better, we all said the beginning of the season event at the NSS was well done, the BSN coverage is excellent - give him more time and lets see! I was the the NSS the orther week to see Sheffield against the Aces - it wa s really good meeting and the whole set up at the NSS is very good. Just need to try and build on that.
  18. The Witches regained a bit of pride tonight - the first time they haven't been defeated on the night for quite a while, I expected Sheffield to cruise this, I suppose you could say they didn't need to do much but at 10pts down they looked a bit vulnerable! So congrats to the Tigers and comiserations to the Witches
  19. Well I think Josh Pickering won this for the Tigers - he was sensational at the the NSS the other week too! Tigers made hard work of this! Good showing from Tom B - would be happy to see him at Foxhall anytime!
