Hopefully this will go ahead - its overcast and some rain is forecast but not enough to cause a postponement IMO!
-
Given the Aces away win last nibght this could be a tricky match - my first 'live' of the season (I hope) - Kurtz if he gates will be tough to beat. Key battle at reserves - hopefully a close home win
-
Nicholls has been fine this season so far - he's had one 'dud' at the NSS which I reckon we all thought might be the case - his 1pt at Foxhall doesnt really do justice to his meeting. a tapes penalty and exlusion and losing out whilst protecting Jenkins.'

Pretty routine win for the Witches there - Fricke finally got going and when he did the Stars fortunes improved. Impressed by Rushden! Both Lawson and Brenna had good meetings, at one point felt Lawson was going to get the full 15 but he left a gap for Fricke. Tobi started well would and maybe should have got 10 - but again like Lawson left a gap for Fricke! Not the best racing but for an afternoon meeting there was some passing. Once the stream worked it was very good - however I found the log in in process very convulted and slow - possibly due to the numbers trying to get online etc, that needs sorting out! It seems few gave up. One thing I will say is this streams camera work and production is better than he previous TV service we had to ensure!

Sadly for you its been fne for me - i seem to have got in and all is working fine, Museilak very impressive so far!
-
its finally working for me! the start is delayed anyway so lucky i havent missed anything - now its working the picture quality seems good
-
I am logged in but the connection is so slow to load - so have to say very underwhelmed but the quality - the site is also far too convoluted
-
Once you have paid for the first stream it sets your account up - I have got that far - finally am logged in and waiting for 2.15 - connection seems flaky but let’s see
-
I am hoping to steam this - having been able to load the site with no issues a few hours ago - it doesn’t seem to load now - so unless this improves with meet 30 minutes or so I will probably give up! Shame as they will lose my £15 and I will not see the meeting!
-
Would be a no brainer for me a live actual match over a bus parade every time. I will be streaming this as am not in the area - hopefully my first gone witches fixture will be 14th may!

Foxes vs Witches, Thursday 30th April
GeneralMelchett replied to paulnolan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Good to read, the sole reason I didnt go last night was i suspected a big crowd would go and there could be delays etc - but I am keen to get to see it this year sometime. Lets hope even half that crowd returns regularly! -
Great news, its been a long long time since we had a new team and lots of 'chatter' about this venture lets hope its a success!

Tigers vs Lions KO Cup 16/04/26 19:30

yes it seems that unless Northampton chuck their hat into the KOC its a Lions v Witches final. The season will be interesting as looking at the Leicester line up for their win last night - its weakened to last season but looks a decent line uop when comapred to others, Kemp will stand out at Reserve if he gets his head right! -

Leicester have a decent record at Owlerton - didn't go last night but they have won there previously so not as much of a surprise i perhaps many felt. Not having Fricke means they do look strong all the way through and its good to see Joe Thompson getting some points has he has struggled sometimes. Also have a lot of time for Dan and good to see him scoring well, beating Holder in heat 1 is a decent scalp! -
Rider insurance (or lack thereof)

Read with interest the comments from the new Ipswich promoter, he had a few strong comments to make in diplomatic language but it was clear what he as saying - BSPA a shambles! -
I usually get my copy of the Star from my local Tescos, imagine my surprise to be in a Sainsburys local a 5 minute walk from my house tonight and i see a copy of the star in there!! First time I have ever noticed in in there.

One of the things that has possibly held Tom back a bit (in the nicest possible way) was having Emil and Jason there! Saying that he will have learned a lot so his chance to be a no 1 is here! Wishing him the best of luck as I really think he’s a great rider in the making! He pops out and wins heat one against Fricke which is very impressive! great result for the witches - concerns for the Stars as ever early in the season! -
Not able to attend tonight but good to see it went well for the Witches, great night for Edwards and a solid all round display for the rest really. Always a concern to hear worries for KL on meeting no 1 as been there a few times. Intrigued to hear about the big screen, also what was he presentation like without Kevin etc? Expect to be there for the 23rd match v the new boys!
-
Quite right with the Ipswich situation the league was in serous doubt - but it is good we have 6 teams in the PL to moan about in 2026!
-
this season is a little weaker as we are missing some top line names so riders like Lidsey and Tom Brennan have their chance to step out from the shadows of riders like Doyle and Emil etc
-
I hope to get there this season and in reality as a new venture being competitve at home is key for them. Its nice to see the plans at least getting put in place.

I can imagine - as an ex paperboy (13-16 y/o in the very late 80s) I can't imagine anyone does that kind of job now. I still like a physical copy of my speedway star however when i do by it which is about 50% of the time maybe more in season.
