Huge fans of both of these two, in the BL I considered Shooey the better rider (his league form was certainly more consistent) but Kelly was almost at the end of his carrer in the very late 80's to early 90s! I always felt PK was the better of the Karlssons, but acknowledge both were damn good! Advantage Witches for sure but heat 15 is a reminder how it can go wrong, they should be taking a bigger lead to Foxhall. No room to be complacenet on Thursday. Well done the Witches reserves too - whilst Emil gave a great performance as did TomB - Dan and Jason did a complete job over their rival reserves tonight.

Been badly run for 25+ years - disaster after disaster the only good times they had in that period was under Mandaric whose passing was annouced very recently. However I am convinced it will be sorted. Tom still listed as riding so lets hope he is fit and we really want 14 club riders and no appearance from Mr Harris even tho i love him as a rider! Looking forward to this, Leicester must feel this is theirs to lose but if Sheffield open with a 5-1 or two then its anyones! Afterall Sheffield had a very hadny leg after 4-5 races and it all was gradually chipped away at!

hence why occasionally you have to be prepared to be a bit ruthless to get to the very top - Nielsen was the classic example - Gundersen was the nicer chap but Nielsen was prepared to stuff you to get what he wanted hence why he was the more successful of the two, for the record I preferred Gundersen - lovely fella! I still love the picture i had taken with him at Cradley one saturday night - not long after that he was injured never to ride again!

No exactly this you don’t often get to the very top by being nice! However Jackie boy ain’t there yet - if you are going to be cocky and arrogant about beating a rival you’d best make sure you don’t get out gated by two of his team mates in the most vital heats of the night! There is also respect between rivals or at least should be! It was good to see the acknowledgment after Masters has beaten him for a 2nd time! He will get there - cracking rider - he maybe will repeat what his brother did one day - just a bit of a walloper sometimes!

He put his focus onto what is important! - the remainder of the meeting! The exclusion the moment it happens becomes a bygone so not worth expending the energy over it - seems to have worked too as I think Leicester favourites now - great effort from the Lions given the first 4-6 heats!

Looking forward to the GP as for once there is things to be decided! It would be nice IF a world champ would ride for a British club as I can’t see BZ ever bothering over here! Hope Dan gets in the rostrum as well!

Just watched the meeting again - great heat 12 ride from Jason Edwards ! It was also nice to see Jordan there also supporting from the pits etc BV just not at the races
