  1. The car park does fill up quickly, but it is a decent enough size considering the stadium isn't far off the town centre. Wimborne Road is a pretty long road, and there are quite a few side roads to possibly park down if you get stuck. But if you aim to get to the stadium for 6pm then you should be okay. I never get there til about 6.45 and there are only a few spaces left then. But it is a public car park during the day not 100% sure what time it changes from public to speedway car park (i'm thinking about 6pm) It is a lot more expensive as a public car park. Last time we parked in it, it cost £1, but that was a while ago and Skidder is quoting £2.50, so we'll go with that one! No apps I don't think, I think there will be someone taking money as you drive into the car park. No youth meetings unfortuantely, probably take about 10 mins or so to get out the car park.
  2. Do you think they will do the rider press conferences (or whatever you would call it!) this season? Or has covid put paid to that!
  3. I'll keep my fingers crossed that they get to. I do love the Poole vs Eastbourne meetings! One of the things I was looking forward to when we dropped down.
  4. Oh i would go, you never know when it comes to BV or KL for that matter! They are both a bit unpredictable.
  5. That's a shame. I see they are showing the British Final again at 6 ish. Shame they can't show one of tonights meetings. Either would be fine!
  6. Ah okay. I saw they used two on Sunday. One of them was just unavailable rather than an injury then? Hmmm Tom Brennan at Poole? Eastbourne haven't been down yet, so I'm guessing this is his first visit? Should be interesting to see how he gets on.
  7. 1. big enough car park if you can get there for 6-6.30 EDIT - there are a few side roads near the stadium where you can park, but there is a lot of double yellows around! 2. decent in what way? Racing wise or facility wise? 3. £17 for adults u11's free, think they do student/oap concessions (might need proof idk) 4. Should be fine for seating. I didn't get to the grandstand til 7.20pm last week ( they had roadworks on A338 that I didn't know about!) and they were still seating available. 5. Chaos? As in everyone leaving at the same time? There are 2 exits, if you are a patient and relaxed driver then you'll be fine, it's not too bad!
  8. Does Becker ride in Poland though? If he does, that would help with riding bigger tracks!
  9. Nice bit of fishing there! Do we know what guests Newcastle are using yet?
  10. How did the americans do last time? I thought they would find it trickier than Masters!
  11. Looks like everyone is super excited by this meeting!! Don't suppose it's on tv tonight?
  12. Still very strange, the way Batch carries on you'd think there is a massive gap between the two leagues. However looking at the BV averages that Rob B put up for the meeting thread Richie is only just above Jye's averages and Stevie's is only 5.58, considering his form for Poole and leagues quite close thought it would be a bit higher, IDK though, maybe i'm expecting too much again!
  13. Ummm, you can actually pay by card on the gate but just have to queue outside the glass stand rather than under the main grandstand as everytime i get near the front of the queue i get asked if paying by cash or card!! Card queue is always a lot longer than the cash one though!
  14. Steve Worrall has been at BV for a fair while too.
  15. Exactly! If you can't make money or at least break even for a play off meeting then you really are screwed.
  16. This meeting should be close. Don't think I can even call it! But if I had to I'd go for 47-43 to Pboro.
  17. If the track was wet through then yes it was the right decision.
  18. That is all very well but they will be relying on Autumn weather rather than summer!!!
  19. Who is likely to be no1? I'm guessing Steve has the highest average. Shame to split up the partnership with Stef. Unless you put him at no2? But then Basso or one of the current reserves (if their average is high enough to go into the top 5) will be at 4 and that will be tough for them.
  20. If the forecast is torrential rain then yes call it off. But if it is a bit hit and miss then they should wait at least til it is raining significantly before calling it off in an ideal world. However I don't own a speedway club so it isn't my money or decision. However Leicester are going to have a few fixtures to fit in during Autumn. Let's hope for an indian summer!
  21. I think it also happened when Poole were at Oxford when they had Hancock and Fisher in the team (but it may have been at Poole tbh) and practice laps were done. I remember Greg doing the lap for Oxford but not sure who did it for Poole. I'm pretty sure it went ahead but can't remember 100%. I think a rider from each team did 4 laps each. Also good for telling the track staff if any more work needs to be done on the track or if enough has been done.
  22. Kerr could be in trouble then??! If it is true that he didn't want to ride, only going on the twitter exchange with Harris.
