  8. Latest update from Nick on the bank holiday collection and the plans to be at Workington on Saturday: Quick update: we had an amazing response to our visits to both Belle Vue and Sheffield where we collected over £500 all together for the Speedway riders benevolent fund. This will be added to our total Gofundme. Everyone that's donated recently we thank you so much, just shy of £2000 now and we are heading up to Workington this Saturday to give a big push up there and get the word out bit more. We have had coverage and help from Speedway Star and programme spots, we want to make this huge as we have so many riders out injured at present and funds are diminishing. Thanks for now.
  9. Update from Stoney on the money collected for the Ben Fund from Belle Vue and Sheffield on Bank Holiday Monday: On bank holiday monday we took our car for under £500 to @bellevuespeedway and @sheffieldspeedway armed with a bucket trying to promote our trip in aid of @srbf. We parked up at the turnstiles before both meetings, and thanks to your generosity, we surprisingly between us all made a grand total of £528.63 which will be paid into the Ben Fund this week. £209.29 at Belle Vue and £319.34 at Sheffield. We are delighted with the way things are progressing, its just the car at the moment thats the problem, which again developed another misfire on our way over the penines. She's in the garage @mantra being looked at by the students who hopefully will get her singing again. Thank you to all who donated to our cause, and if you wish to donate you can always visit our gofundme. Cheers. Stoney & NTL. X https://www.gofundme.com/f/speedway-riders-benevolent-fund
  10. Update from Stoney & Nick on yesterdays visit to Belle Vue & Sheffield: Back from a busy day promoting the trip but have also proper enjoyed it. Started off at Belle Vue Speedway for the 12pm start then over to Sheffield Speedway for the evening meeting via home for a cold shower. Shes been a warm one. We left Sheffield early because the car developed a missfire over Woodhead Road on the way there again. I didnt fancy breaking down on that road in the dark on way home. We will get her sorted hopefully before we leave. Our thanks go to the management of both clubs for acknowledging and hosting us today and the many generous supporters that helped fill a bucket in aid of a great cause of the Speedway Riders Benevolent Fund. To the many people who have already previously donated into our gofundme we thank you and are grateful for all your contributions. Any one who donates £100, automaticlay gets a sticker on the car. We would love it to look like a patchwork quilt. Put your name or send a company logo to our email. srbfnice@gmail.com Please share far and wide so we can all help make a difference together. Cheers, Stoney & NTL x https://www.gofundme.com/.../speedway-riders.../fb/o...

  12. Stoney & Nick to appear at Belle Vue & Sheffield on Bank Holiday Monday The weather is going to be beautiful this bank holiday monday 25th May for #bellevueaces v #sheffieldtigers home and away. We will be attending both meetings and showing off our car for under £500! We are competing in the skinflintrally.co.uk in a banger all in aid of the srbf.co.uk. Calais to Nice via Italy and Monaco, on a 3 day road trip, with challenges to complete along the way If you got any loose change lying around that you dont know what to do with, bring it with you, we have a secure bucket where the Ben Fund can look after it for you. £100 will get your sticker on the car. But any donation will be greatly appreciated. Please like and share so all of us together, can make this a huge success to support a great charity. Come over and say hello when you see us. Maybe remininisce over old times. Roughly 16% of our UK league riders are injured, and thats a massive percentage. The biggest pay out for the Ben Fund at the start of the season for years. We will also be taking her to Workington v Scunthorpe on the 30th May trying to get as much publicity as we can, the pair of us are looking forward to that trip. Trying to organise to get her to a few other tracks as well hoping to sort and rectify any problems with her before we go. She had a missfire tonight David Hoad at the traffic lights. Cheif mechanic!
