Sedgeman certainly doesn't have his ear to the ground or I doubt he would have bothered winning heat 14 last night.
-
he may have been getting excellent scores in the past but he was sacked by his previous club so not exactly in the best of form or at least he wasn't or he wouldn't have been sacked.
-
A bit of a surprise really, I know Tungate was hot property but I thought Sedgeman was having a pretty good season, I am sure Sedgeman will be snapped up by someone fairly quickly.
-
Probably better off with guests! KK is better even on current form
-
Judging by his performance tonight and on monday it looks a good move to get Starke in although it could be said Newman would have scored well too fairly sure he wouldn't have got paid 10.

So can that average a rider is given, be used for team changes and guests? -

Yeah confusing maybe Skidder could clear it up. I have heard it said averages change when team has done 4H/4A or is when riders have done 4H/4A, I would have thought both has to happen before new averages can be allocated but I heard that new averages be given to riders who have not done 4H/4A. -

So a rider doesn't get a new average even if his team ridden 4H/4A until he has ridden 4H/4A. -
I would have thought on his current average he is a bargain although he won't produce last night's form every week certainly worth a chance.

Nilsson is in good form but not his best away track, King usually goes well but up and down last night and nursing an injury, Garrity was poor last night and rest are pretty poor so really should be a easy one for Poole although they could have some joy at reserve with Wilko as our guest for Klindt. -
Give him a chance! First meeting back after injury.
-
Clearly Starke and Newman have similar averages and are therefore similar have similar ability, the problem is Newman is regarded very highly due to him being local, he loves the club and the fans relate to him. Unfortunately since his return from injury things havent gone as well as expected and Matt Ford decided to change now rather than risk his average dropping and unable to replace him at a later stage if needed. From my point of view considering how he is regarded by most at Poole i would have thought he could have been given more time to get his form back which there are now signs that may be starting to happen I am certain that Newman will get a place somewhere else and good luck to him, he is a nice guy and deserves it

A lot of fans are interested in meetings they wouldn't go to and comment about them. Not strange at all. -
I agree we should have kept Kerr

Whats wrong with Danny King hope he is ok for British final -
Holder not coming back to Poole hasnt really worked for him or Poole although he does seem to be improving lately. He doesnt dump riders who are performing and Newman wasnt performing but i dont believe he was given enough time after coming back from injury and im sure he will be back to his best soon
-
Don't you think i hope that too. At their best i still think Newman is better and most would have agreed he had more improvement in him than Starke, in fact quite a few said Newman was a snip on his average for this season. Starke had a poor start with Somerset but has been going well for Peterborough and as i said i understand why the change was made but still feel Newman wasnt given enough time to get back to the form we all know he is capable of but its done now and Paul is a nice guy who deserves all our support.
-
There isn't one available we should have kept Kerr until Newman got his form back, all i am saying is there is little to be gained and because Newman is local alot of fans know him and is well liked. Starke was well liked too when he rode for us before and no doubt will be again but many fans have voiced their disapproval of the move.
-
Not getting on Starke just don't think he will improve us much. Newman paid 12 at home and paid 6 from 4 rides at Edinburgh who are a good team and Starke got 9 from 6 rides when he rode at Edinburgh so not much in it.
-
I do understand that Matt Ford thought that we can't go on with a misfiring Newman but Starke isn't the answer, his score was poor last night for Peterborough and Newman rode better for Ipswich on thursday and Matt Ford maybe thinking he was a bit hasty especially as he can't get him back now.

Our new signing very poor tonight but Jack Holder full max

Poole came to Leicester with guests and Leicester themselves had mostly guest but still an enjoyable meeting with a reasonable crowd -
well you expect most on here to be up to speed on these things but there are a fair number of fans just go to watch the racing and don't worry about averages or rules.
-
it mentions in the Echo about an initial 4 meeting spell for Zengota so if KK is fit he may come back sooner but no doubt Matt Ford will want to assess his form before getting him straight back in the team. The Zengota was announced on the 25th of May so assuming they actually signed him at least a day before he could come back after Zengota's 28 day spell on june 21st.

Just beat you to it the Steve!
