You are obviously red black and white tinted. No surprise. -

Aces tinted as per usual. Some Aces fans bring shame on the club on their travels. I’m sure that’s ditto most clubs. Nothing required to back that up. reading what you want into a situation as per usual. -

See post below. Belle Vue have fans that do exactly the same thing. No surprise you accuse one club of it when as previously stated it happens at every track. Obviously you will deny that. Are you in Egypt as you must be in De Nile. Happens at all tracks. To argue against it is just stirring for the sake of it. No surprise tho. -

Aces fans are as bad as any others for cheering when a rider falls. Back to your usual default setting of attacking Wolves. all we need is you to being up the horror track and personal attacks to return to normal form. -
Both 7th and 28 July meetings were bank holiday meetings whilst the 14th July was a regular Monday. So they weren’t a Monday night club as someone laughingly tried to suggest.

It happens at all tracks even though it’s wrong, anyone that claims different is wrong. -
The trouble is clubs voted (with exception of those not allowed too) and as is usual people voted with self interest. The issue is that both leagues are as guilty as the other. Rye rode on a Wednesday and had 3 Monday meetings. The usual rash comment.

I love it when you start getting confident. You have been embarrassed twice already this season, one can only hope for a 3rd. It has good chances let’s face it. The new Dane could be a key signing. Time will tell I guess. -

Have Poole moved off the bottom yet? Surprised the Aces were this poor. Looks like no team is going to go on a good run this year. -
I wonder what day SKY and BT have used for many years as Speedway night?? it suits some and not others. Monday’s have worked for some for years. Maybe less so now.

There aren’t enough riders of suitable quality to complete all teams. It’s been a problem since the BSPA weakened the sport year on year and also riders pricing themselves out of a team place. The fixed night racing has virtually worked for doubling up however clubs really need the option to ride on a night that suits them. The sport really needs a fresh way forward if it can recover from this season.

Good point!

Least Knowledgeable I’d imagine.

It’s all IFS. There is nothing official.

Aces on a roll right now. With team changes it’s a great time to take an away win. -
You could equally argue how can we survive with the top riders as with every dumbing down fans have walked away. sadly the TV money has just gone on the riders with no thought to progression or development. Another big reason why the promoters haven’t seen this coming or if they have they haven’t had the answers in a long time.
-
Either way is debatable. You only have to look at the excitement and crowds when Emil signed for Coventry albeit for a short spell. Crowds went up big time when he was in town. No doubt Vaculik would have created a similar buzz. Crowds will be up that’s for sure. It’s the cost of speedway that seems to be the issue.
-
There is no evidence to suggest that at all, in fact the opposite. The more bigger names drop out of racing in the UK the more the crowds have dropped. A coincidence or not? People say we can’t afford the big names anymore. We can’t afford to cut them any further back as it is! The problem for me is the wee taking of its loyal supporters. Quality of the top flight has dropped alarmingly in the 4-5 years but sadly not the cost. The middle tier charges in some places a pound or 2 less than the top flight. That cannot be right. It’s the middle tier that’s causing a lot of the issues for the top flight. More and more top flight riders are doubling down and demanding a fair wage packet for it I’ll guess. dumb the product if you wish (I’d prefer not as its zapping my enthusiasm for top flight speedway) but at least get the price top right. £10 for NL, £12 for 2nd tier and £14 or £15 for top flight. That’s the way forward next season. Not one big league tho please, the final death toll for our league racing.

Absolutely agree. Absolutely agree.

Imho Wells for King is a downgrade. Wright for Newman is a better upgrade however.

Fixed race nights... early indications!!!
stevebrum replied to Phil The Ace's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It’s always been the middle tier that is the most selfish of the leagues. All leagues want only what’s best for themselves, that’s why the sport is in such a precarious state, and been heading that way for many a year now. How they arrest the issue is anyone’s guess but no one league is to blame. Whatever IS done should ensure it’s suits all parties. -

It’s really not a one league problem tho. You only have to see the pleading reports from Championship and NL promoters to know that no one league is in a better shape. the problem is the standard is dropping in the top flight but generally stronger in the lower league than years gone by yet prices are ridiculous for both tiers. Championship is overpriced imho.
