It's all opinions anyway. Hougaard has an average on the wane whilst Stevie is still rising. This time last year I'd have put Hougaard ahead.
-
So when you said all riders you meant those good enough to be able to ride abroad. Certainly riders at championship level are making a living out of it so yes.
-
You think most of the NL and championship riders give a frig about Poland?

That must be satisfying considering how dire he was on Wednesday. Needs to focus on the Pirates too then I guess.

Wolverhampton v Poole. Prem A. 23/4/18

Poole will probably win at Wolves, probably the B or play off fixture. You heard it here first. -
Highly speculative that he would be a prolific scorer, seems on the downward slide unlike Stevie who improves year on year. I would have thought Somerset would have suited him too. Worrall seemed really up for it this season as his scores, at home at least certainly bear some evidence of this. With a high home average and a moderate away one he would probably have climbed to about 8 this year. Don't think Hougaard has ever achieved that.

Check page 84. I'd quoted you when mentioning one away score. Pinny was saying Hougaard was better which is laughable.

And beat Freddie in one of those rides. That was a very impressive ride. -

4 point home win. Assuming the super strength Pirates can start to perform. -

No need to worry when you are unbeaten. I worry about all others teams as they can push us out of a play off place. That's why we have a forum to comment on other teams too. -

Because it's this meeting that Poole underperformed. -

And it was way to early bigging up a team that let you down big style on Wednesday. -
Have you checked Hougaard's 2017 average? 6.09. Inferior to Stevie. Case rested.
-
And the way Stevie had started the season a total inadequate replacement. Always been way over rated IMHO
-
I think it's more to do with trying to ensure away teams are sent home pointless. Fewer points your opposition take is less chance of them making the top 4 play offs. It's all about the end of season points tally that counts. Anything you can do to restrict points scoring by the opposition the better.

Just waiting for the Poole 2019 thread to appear. -

In the UK it's not even a debate. Hopefully the smug Poole fans will stop the bleating and bragging. No one saw that coming, something is very wrong Poole way. Unless it's an average reducing exercise to bring another ringer in. Well done Swindon all the same. -
Belle Vue V Poole SGB Prem. A. 16th April 2018

And the very reason why no Brit with any real ambition would want to sign for Poole. Short term trophy goals are all that matters. When we do have riders ready and able to challenge on the World Stage again if will be because of teams like Belle Vue, Wolves and Swindon who look long term at the future of the sport in the UK and on the world stage. Thank god there are clubs that stand by their Brits. Long may that continue. Is it any coincidence that 2 of those clubs have been crowned league champions the past 2 seasons? ? Just saying. -

The trouble was that Newman was as often out as in. Consistent team places and progression is what these Brits need to continue to make their way forward at the top level. Kyle had been making progress particularly in reserve however it's when he was moved up that he struggled and often binned at that point. That's exactly the point they need support for the long term goal. If you plan to just win and short term goals about winning every season then it's unlikely any Brit will be about long enough to move forward. The examples of Ellis and Howarth are perfect examples. Both their clubs stood by them despite some patchy form and both are still improving and becoming bona fide top flight riders. It's clear British riders need all the top flight help they can if we are to ever challenge on the big stage again. -

Great to see Adam being given a more responsible racing position. He has certainly progressed more being at Swindon and his career on the forward path. Great to see. Certainly Swindon have stood by him and are reaping the rewards as they should. Every Brit progressing at a top flight club is another step forward to then progressing onto the world stage. -
Depends what average the BSPA decide he is on. Was 9 before the season started.
