  1. And it was way to early bigging up a team that let you down big style on Wednesday.
  2. Have you checked Hougaard's 2017 average? 6.09. Inferior to Stevie. Case rested.
  3. And the way Stevie had started the season a total inadequate replacement. Always been way over rated IMHO
  4. Perhaps people don't notice or care at this stage of the season come September teams will be looking to get as many away points as they can.
  5. I think it's more to do with trying to ensure away teams are sent home pointless. Fewer points your opposition take is less chance of them making the top 4 play offs. It's all about the end of season points tally that counts. Anything you can do to restrict points scoring by the opposition the better.
  6. In the UK it's not even a debate. Hopefully the smug Poole fans will stop the bleating and bragging. No one saw that coming, something is very wrong Poole way. Unless it's an average reducing exercise to bring another ringer in. Well done Swindon all the same.
  7. And the very reason why no Brit with any real ambition would want to sign for Poole. Short term trophy goals are all that matters. When we do have riders ready and able to challenge on the World Stage again if will be because of teams like Belle Vue, Wolves and Swindon who look long term at the future of the sport in the UK and on the world stage. Thank god there are clubs that stand by their Brits. Long may that continue. Is it any coincidence that 2 of those clubs have been crowned league champions the past 2 seasons? ? Just saying.
  8. The trouble was that Newman was as often out as in. Consistent team places and progression is what these Brits need to continue to make their way forward at the top level. Kyle had been making progress particularly in reserve however it's when he was moved up that he struggled and often binned at that point. That's exactly the point they need support for the long term goal. If you plan to just win and short term goals about winning every season then it's unlikely any Brit will be about long enough to move forward. The examples of Ellis and Howarth are perfect examples. Both their clubs stood by them despite some patchy form and both are still improving and becoming bona fide top flight riders. It's clear British riders need all the top flight help they can if we are to ever challenge on the big stage again.
  9. Great to see Adam being given a more responsible racing position. He has certainly progressed more being at Swindon and his career on the forward path. Great to see. Certainly Swindon have stood by him and are reaping the rewards as they should. Every Brit progressing at a top flight club is another step forward to then progressing onto the world stage.
  10. Depends what average the BSPA decide he is on. Was 9 before the season started.
  11. Too high Too high Depends which average they use but using the kildemand example would fit.
  12. Poole have only really given Brits a chance because of the enforced ruling about using them at reserve. Shanes is only really in because his 2 point average fits. Poole have certainly not supported the likes of Howarth and Newman as assets by sacking them. Wolves took a chance on Howarth and are now reaping the benefit with his best ever season at both levels in 2017 and has started 2018 with a top flight paid maximum. I'd rather ALL clubs looked after their Brits to help them progress. Some clubs obviously do so much better than others, Belle Vue another great example.
  13. Watched heat 15 on fans page and was certainly exciting. Hopefully the awful weather that has wrecked tracks for a month now will see gradual improvement of racing on all tracks. When you get people moaning about racing at the NSS you know tracks aren't in great shape right now. We are lucky at Wolves at its usually rated highly by riders and visiting fans alike so hopefully Doc can work his magic over the coming weeks. Rye appeared to be very poor visitors which can have a bearing on the excitement level.
  14. Freddie is well over a point higher than Vaculik so extremely unlikely without further changes.
  15. Routine home win. Maybe the Robins can bring their 2017 form to Wimborne Road perhaps?.
  16. Used to be brilliant at Monmore but have been average for the past 2 or 3 seasons. KK is just a waste of a team space.
  17. Exactly. Well said. Double standards or what!
  18. Certainly usual of the last 2 or 3 seasons absolutely.
  19. Doyle decidedly average going by the scores. Great win for the Lions tho.
  20. I did, because it's our first match and Rye have riders that can do well and have had matches already. The reality is evident that Rye remain poor travellers. At least I didn't say Rye would win away tho.
  21. As expected, Rye will get very little away from home again. Great result from the boys tonight. As I thought, Ashley has improved a lot since his last stint in Wolves colours. Robbo appeared to have a mare after heat 2.
