  1. I have to say I was beyond shocked when he was signed. He wouldn't have lasted a month if he hasn't started injured at the P&P. Maybe he has improved over the winter.
  2. Seen him several times practising and having races against other similar abilities in 2017 and is so far off the pace it's untrue.
  3. I agree, Stoke is a great shape for racing and as someone who attends Monday open practise days it's great for learning on. Whilst shale may be lacking at times I always enjoy riding at Stoke. Hopefully the team will have a better year on track too.
  4. Good point Steve. And your picture perfectly explains that point.
  5. I think if you asked any rider with a top flight British club the answer would be one racesuit per person.
  6. They most certainly are not. Guess you get some who don't like and some who do. I can tell with ease. Bike and covers, sponsors on kevlars, helmet, style, build. Is very little difference to riders in their own racesuits. Plus the biggest giveaway the number on the back. Couldn't be more easier. You can either tell a rider or you can't.
  7. Typical Google search! ! I see there has been an outpouring of correct images since tho.
  8. Not that it was in doubt, bout time too. http://sport.bt.com/speedway/bt-sport-to-continue-as-the-home-of-british-speedway-until-2020-S11364256812953
  9. Fully agree. A talent on the bike that's for sure. However you can only judge on what someone did achieve not what they might have. His own self destruction meant he had too many wasted opportunities to deliver on that ability. As a world U21 champ he seemed poised for greater things but no one can be assured what he would have actually achieved. It's purely subjective. It's frightening to imagine if he fully applied himself what he could have achieved tho. That's something that we will ever know. A great speedway rider that failed to deliver on all that promise. A great pity.
  10. Well said. The Poles waste no time in confirming thinks straight after the season. Perfect time in the summer break to sort out an agenda and make plans for the following season.
  11. Some Poole fans have short memories also as it appeared they were unhappy with his attitude and average in 2016 and were only too happy to have him shipped off to Kings Lynn. It would appear his attitude issues were carried across so if will be interesting to see if his issues with MF remain. No one can dispute his ability. His attitude however seems to be the issue the past couple of seasons and that would appear the key to his potential average improvement this season. Just my opinion.
  12. It would appear it's all virtually signed and sealed. The wait for announcement is baffling.
  13. Woryna alone SHOULD be head and shoulders biggest improver. Can add plenty others too that which are subjective unlike the rider listed above who will be a huge disappointment if he doesn't add at least 3 points to his out of date average.
  14. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Don't tell Potty that. He goes every week so knows best too.
  15. He represents GB more than any other rider already!! It's great to hear that he is clearly involved with the new guy and thank god this new guy has the sense to want to involve the best rider we have. Woffy would know better who to represent us than Rosco. Any nation would bite the hand off of a star rider wanting to be involved so let's just hope it all works out so that he is back involved. Fingers crossed.
  16. Well intended of course however it doesn't favour those who it is meant to protect. Typical UK rule. No wonder British people are second class citizens. Different point of view for speedway so I'll get off this tangent.
  17. As always they leave themselves wide open to interpretation. It's true that any nationality that have ridden in the 3rd tier are eligible. That's not really in dispute. The ruling of BRITISH RIDERS ONLY should be the only addendum required when talking about riders being eligible to double up irrespective of averages. It's NOT illegal to add that, all the other European leagues look after their own and they fall under the same EU rulings that the UK does or currently do. Whether they would ever be challenged is a different argument.
  18. Don't we all fall under the EU rulings tho in Europe? As far as I'm concerned the other leagues are doing the right thing.
  19. So how do the other European leagues get around it?
  20. It's only an illegal mess because it's what the BSPA do oh too well. Given how few riders there are to go around these days I fail to see any issue with ANY British rider being allowed to ride both leagues if they want to. It's not and can't be illegal as all other European nations do exactly that. The ruling seemed to work fine before until last season when they changed the goalposts and then moved them back straight away. That was the worst possible move to make. Reward some, then penalise others. And I'm not surprised either in all honesty. Make it easier for your BRITISH riders, rules can apply to other nationalities. Seems fair enough to me.
  21. Maybe my response was also tongue in cheek, probably went over your head also.
  22. I can't see the issue with British riders riding in both leagues in their own country. Other countries do it. It's called looking after your own. Couldn't care less if the French or other nationalities can't double up as well.
