  1. What poor away form?. His average was 7.55. Speedway star has him listed as 6th best away average, ahead of Andersen, bjerre, Harris, Schlein, Holder, Masters, Fricke, Kurtz, Batchelor, Nicholls, Lambert, King. This supposed poor away form is a myth.
  2. I agree he SHOULD be, but dropped to 2nd to Troy last year and starts 4th in line this! He certainly hasn't been riding anything like a number one over the past 12 months. So time will tell eh?
  3. I agree. I'd go as far as saying equally as strong. No doubt Poole fans would disagree. Bewley at reserve is going to kick on big time this year and I reckon will top averaged starting reserve by end of season. Yes, you heard it here first.
  4. Besides Somerset and Kings Lynn no other team has a recognised number one.
  5. Of course you wouldn't! Think we look strong enough for top 4. Plus we are the masters of not topping the league and winning the play offs.
  6. Apologies. Having checked I see that he was still assessed for Poole. Thought he rode more meetings for the Pirates. Well pointed out.
  7. Agreed. But never available for anyone else to sign all close season.
  8. I don't remember Kings Lynn signing him from Poole. Where was that confirmed?
  9. In truth they weren't 'there for all teams to sign' tho. Woryna was made an asset at the tail end of last season and Mateusz is already a Poole asset. The theory that any team could have signed them is cancelled out by the reality of that likely to happen.
  10. If Fricke signs as expected then a solid top end with a dynamite in Bewley in reserve. Have to start as one of the better teams and favourites for the season.
  11. I expect Bjarne to be announced anytime soon.
  12. Only you are 'arguing'. I'm not the only one who is disagreeing with you. It's called an opinion. I'm entitled to put a 'laughing' face on a post that I think is funny. You're insistence that Iversen is better is laughable. Both are superb top flight and world class riders. Plus it's good to see you can reply to a poster without making a personal attack. Lindgren had a superb 2017. You would have to be barmy to disagree with that fact. I hope Iversen has an equally brilliant 2018. Plus Lindgren went unbeaten at Kings Lynn in 2017. Probably the best visitor to most tracks, certainly to kings Lynn.
  13. I suppose if we are judging current form from 2017 the Lindgren is well clear. Why some (well one) would argue who is better when both are proven top riders on the World stage and more importantly in our top flight is beyond crazy. Both are brilliant riders. Maybe Niels wil have a good 2018 season just like Fred did in 2017. I'd be surprised if he didn't anyway.
  14. Bless. Just ignore the fact that Lindgren owned the top flight for several years whilst Iversen was an also ran. I like NKI and would be more than happy if he rode for Wolves. Thankfully we have had one of the best number ones of the past 10 years in our top flight. Shame, your posts seemed more bearable in recent times but it appears you have returned to type by attacking the poster again. Sometimes things never change eh.
  15. The comment was ridiculous Steve. Lots of love on this page for Starman, stop trying to spoil it.
  16. Absolutely. Club loyalties will always see many of us clash on issues but yet again the speedway family show support for those that need it. Hopefully get to Poole this season so will come say hello. It's about time! Take your time and stay healthy. Really Steve, stop stirring.
  17. Should never have been given a 2. Pure nonsense. Interesting that the SCB have 'deleted' the 2016 averages for use this year. I can imagine a few clubs or one in particular that will be sweating on this piece of news. It would be the fairest thing if NO 2016 averages were allowed for use this year. At least every team will be playing from the same rulebook. Be very sad if only one club is affected.
  18. Ditto that comment Gavan 110%. Been there too. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. But good to see a regular contributor posting again so welcome back and good health to you Starman.
  19. It's last season's advert. Check the dates. They are all wrong. Nothing has been released yet.
  20. Apologies, I forgot to include Iversen so yes indeed 2 in and 2 out. The nonsense of the 50 point limit and fake averages have messed up the comparisons too. It's clear last season's starting limit of 50 is higher than the start of this however, despite in reality the ridiculous reassessed averages for some have clouded the issue somewhat. It isn't as cut as dry as some like to bore on about.
  21. Given that averages were weighted for the top flights boys it's going to be overwhelmingly higher in 2017.
  22. Bjerre and Lindgren out, Vaculik in. Yet some will argue it's stronger!!!
