In reply to the 3 quoted posts. Wolves have done nothing wrong. Poole called off a meeting 3 seasons ago against Lakeside due to missing riders and citing 'damaging their business'. I didn't think you could call off matches or change dates because of missing riders either, however Poole have done it in the past so what Wolves are doing is no different. Wolves are entitled to their P&P day as it's important to the press and media as well as their sponsors. So without one it would also 'damage business'. Nothing new to see here I'm afraid. Precisely. Nothing to see here. The press release quite clearly says MF agreed to rearranging date. So its completely fine.

Well pointed out.
-
Why should it? Press and practice is important and vital for ALL teams. Again why? So it's okay to penalise a team that can't practise because of the weather when others have?? Matt Ford has agreed to it so there is really nothing make an issue of. I see that Shovlar has his wooden spoon out, it's quite funny tho.

I thought it was a well known fact he wanted to join his brother at Somerset and he had to stay at Poole because they wanted him. Worst kept secret if not!
-
It's clearly been done to affect teams who have low averaged riders ie Wolves and belle Vue. All GP standard riders with an average less than 8 who didnt ride here in 2017 were regraded to a 9, yet Vaculik is given an 8 which surely is the benchmark to treat all teams and riders fairly?? Another example of the blind leading the blind. Pawlicki (Wolves asset who if not wanted by Wolves seemed destined for Poole), Woffy (Wolves asset had spoken to CVS about a return due to fixed night racing) and Zagar (Aces rider who was keen to come back but another vetoed by the establishment) all targeted by the governing body. You have to feel if it was a promoters vote then both Wolves and Aces can feel victimised.

I absolutely hope not! Unless it's as a second string.

Most riders suss Monmore out pretty well, I guess it's in the head of those that struggle to be consistent there. True, all contributing facts
-
It's a weird one . I've seen him ride it really well. I guess he just isn't a fan of racing on it most times.
-
You don't score 14 points if you haven't figured it out. Seems he isn't consistent enough on track at Monmore tho.
-
Last 6 scores of 8, 8, 3, 14, 3, 7. Only 2 are below his current average and his score of 14 proves he can ride it if he wants too!
-
Exactly.
-
He isn't even that standard.
-
I have to say I was beyond shocked when he was signed. He wouldn't have lasted a month if he hasn't started injured at the P&P. Maybe he has improved over the winter.
-
Seen him several times practising and having races against other similar abilities in 2017 and is so far off the pace it's untrue.
-
I agree, Stoke is a great shape for racing and as someone who attends Monday open practise days it's great for learning on. Whilst shale may be lacking at times I always enjoy riding at Stoke. Hopefully the team will have a better year on track too.

Stalker alert.

Good point Steve. And your picture perfectly explains that point.

I think if you asked any rider with a top flight British club the answer would be one racesuit per person.
-
They most certainly are not. Guess you get some who don't like and some who do. I can tell with ease. Bike and covers, sponsors on kevlars, helmet, style, build. Is very little difference to riders in their own racesuits. Plus the biggest giveaway the number on the back. Couldn't be more easier. You can either tell a rider or you can't.

Typical Google search! ! I see there has been an outpouring of correct images since tho.

Team suits for league racing, no question.

Which rider is to improve the most in 2018
stevebrum replied to ProudtobeaBrummie's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Fully agree. A talent on the bike that's for sure. However you can only judge on what someone did achieve not what they might have. His own self destruction meant he had too many wasted opportunities to deliver on that ability. As a world U21 champ he seemed poised for greater things but no one can be assured what he would have actually achieved. It's purely subjective. It's frightening to imagine if he fully applied himself what he could have achieved tho. That's something that we will ever know. A great speedway rider that failed to deliver on all that promise. A great pity.
