  1. Doomongers like you have been saying the same thing since the 50's, 80's, 90's and 00's. I guess we know how that turned out.
  2. It doesn't. If I was 50 or 15 it would still be going.
  3. There is ice speedway happening in Sweden and Russia if you are desperate for a fix. But yea, Telford was more entertaining than Kirky
  4. And it will still be around long after I've gone.
  5. I'm sure people have been saying the same thing for 20 years or more. Makes you laugh tho.
  6. And more than happy too! Still after years of the worst track at Kirky Lane it's only right the Aces finally had a good track. Give me tight and technical any day tho.
  7. Nor at Wolves where it's best prepared.
  8. The only facts we know is that Piotr was keen to come back and if wolves couldn't fit him in he asked his name to be circulated. Confirmed by CVS.
  9. I'd agree on that. I was lead to believe Roberts was likely number 7 but something or someone has changed that. Chattin improved massively last year and let's not forget was right on the pace in several heats, in fact held 3rd in one race until he slipped off on the last bend last lap. Again I'd agree on that it was likely MDL. Wasn't that far off the NL pace tho.
  10. The only way any up and coming Brit is going to make it on the International and GP scene is to ditch the comfort of the second division as soon as they can. They need to be riding top flight here and Europe. Dan maybe needs another year in the 2nd tier but I just hope he is able to concentrate on the insecurity of making it abroad and take the knocks and set backs that come with a foreign contract. He has more than enough natural ability to get noticed in the lower tier in Poland and should be looking for options ASAP. And that goes for any next generation rider. The minute you settle for doubling up here you have gone for the easier option of money security over ambition. Many knock Tai however he is on his way to being the our most decorated and celebrated British rider EVER. And he has earned it. Ditched the lower tiers as early as possible and toughed it out abroad until he made a breakthru in the World of Speedway. Might not be a popular decision however that's exactly what these next lot of boys need to be doing. With the 2 night racing it's now possible for Brits to still keep UK league in the future. Let's face it its only the ridiculous one 8 and over rule coupled with the barmy reassessed averages for him and Piotr (a coincidence both are Wolves assets??) that has prevented him riding here this season as he was known to be keen. Hopefully our sport in Britain will make it EASIER for ALL British riders to ride here from 2019 onwards. I too am genuinely excited at the current crop of next generation Brits, I just hope the BSPA don't alienate them in the future like others before them. Tai is just the latest in a long line of Brits they have messed about.
  11. Chattin was asked and Brummies was his preference but they took too long to decide.
  12. Said by the same 'Poole' fans every season. Hence why we have laughed so hard the last few seasons.
  13. I've read equally as many blaming Bjerre so depends which way you look at it. 50/50 is easily it's best description. I certainly see it as one that could have gone either way.
  14. Never seen that one. Any current Championship rider could qualify (technically) for the GP Series and continue racing in that league. Craig Cook is the perfect example. He himself choose not to race in the Championship this season but because he has a valid average could have remained in that league this year if he wanted too. Carl Stonehewer also was a 2nd tier rider who also rode in the GP's. As is usual with the governing body the rules are written in such a way that some riders can ride in one league whilst others British riders with a much lower top flight average can't.
  15. Not sure that either rider would even be wanted by any team to ride as a number one. The other problem is the lack of enough quality riders to fill both leagues team positions.
  16. It's easily sortable. If you are BRITISH then you are eligible. Irrespective of average. Keep the 6 top flight minimum to drop down to any NON Brits. Sorted.
  17. New poster talking about Gavan loving Poole shock horror. Another multi alias.
  18. His average seems to be in freefall. No doubt he should improve his starting average but he has had 2 very poor seasons in the UK, certainly poor judging by him being in the GP's.
  19. That's your opinion, you don't speak for the forum. Stalker alert. Seems you are indeed obsessed.
  20. He will thrive in the well prepared conditions once he gets the hang of its tightness.
  21. Take your blinkers off and read others who have said the same. How can anyone begrudge a rider a made up average?
  22. Sadly the BSPA makes these errors alarmingly too often. The buck falls with them for sure as they are the ones making (and changing) the rules to suit. Rye will equally get some criticism from fans of other clubs who find signing riders on false averages as abhorrent. No one likes a team with 'ringers' in. Unless it's the home fans I guess.
