  1. It nearly makes us as bad as Poole, how dreadful. Still, 3 Brits at Wolves again this season. You can rely on Poole to not do their bit, as per usual. You can see why Howarth and Adam wanted out.
  2. By your own definition Perks also misses out on a team place because he is rubbish.
  3. Bit like Poole asset Perks. Nobody wants him either. Still, let's bring foreigners over on a 5.20 average and ensure some British riders who want to ride can't. Only in British speedway as per usual.
  4. If you think it's okay to collect assets like beer glasses and not look after them then that's your perogative. Don't expect loyalty in return however.
  5. He has certainly ridden in the UK more than about 2 dozen Poole assets.
  6. Gavan is right. He has been forced into it. A 5.14 average IS good enough. So yours and Shovlar's point of view has already been shown up to be nonsense. He had a 4.35 average riding for Wolves in 2014. 4.36 at home 4.34 away. Given a regular team place it could be different story. Sadly his career has been so stop start we will never know how he might have progressed. Another Brit forced into retirement due to the ridiculous 5.20 average given to new foreigners in the Championship and the even more pathetic so called reassessing for some and not others in the top flight. Some have already got a leg up due it this season. And NO, it's not a personal attack on Poole. I'd say the same if ANY clubs signed riders on OLD averages that are no longer valid.
  7. Try telling that to Fast Freddie, Jacob and Woffy who have only ever ridden top flight for their parent club. Plenty of clubs are loyal to riders. The club's who aren't can't bleat if riders don't put them first either. Fast Freddie has spent his whole career at Wolves 12 years, with a year out of British speedway. Thorssell has ridden his whole top flight career with Wolves. And released several times as well during a season. Poole asset Perks is set to retire because he can't get a team place. Another casualty of the Poole loyalty system.
  8. Poole aren't known for loyalty. They have an asset In Ellis Perks that they would appear happy to let retire as he has no teams for the new season. His average will probably be reduced knowing the ludicrous assessments for some riders this year.
  9. Yes they did say that running Fridays was costing them money and the uncertainty of the lease being the final straw.
  10. Lakeside's issues were to do with the tenancy of the stadium, not finances .
  11. It said in SS that it's because he hasn't ridden here before so are making an exception for him. Along of course with the 2 Poles at Poole and of course Clegg who gets a new average having only ridden 4 top flight matches. Just when you think the averages farce can't get any worse.
  12. Where has it been confirmed that KP is 6.50?? I've heard that but not seen it confirmed anywhere.
  13. His 2016 top flight average was 5.14. Perks is the one who can't cut it at a higher level. I remember people saying fast Freddie was a one track pony for years. Jacobs has always done ok as a number 7 in the top flight, and more than done his job.
  14. No surprise, considering Speedway Star released the information last week.
  15. As expected, the Speedway Star story was right. No surprise.
  16. Most Championship teams charge only a pound or 2 less than the top flight. It's usually the 2nd tier that is the overpriced one.
  17. Plenty of riders have an OLD 2016 but they aren't official any more. So only selected riders have OLD averages. Which of course stinks. Perks was useless for Wolves with a 1.45 season average. Totally dreadful. He certainly improved overall but he had achieved virtually nowt outside the NL until 2017. Maybe he may achieve more than Jacobs but not yet. Shame his parent club haven't included him in their plans, but then Poole don't have a great history of looking after their assets.
  18. Ooops, must pay closer attention before posting!
  19. I'd assume his current average. But with the BSPA it could be anything.
  20. Time will tell, but I'd rather trust a speedway publication than a local rag every time. I asked before, who actually owns Hans, I thought he was a Frost asset?
