Absolutely. Fully agree with that. And anything can happen in a meeting.
-
And totally hilarious when you see the awful accidents at the real horror tracks like Poole and Leicester not to even mention the wobblers at Cardiff on and over course Kings Lynn (according to Troy and Holder). Still its good to see the nonsense usual response.
-
That is real. Poole won at Wolves a few weeks ago. You would have to be barking mad to suggest it will be a walkover. Perhaps have a bit of faith, no Poole fan thought they would get any points a few weeks ago at Monmore.
-
Anybody is an improvement on KK. Wolves win by 4.
-
They must be interested because they took up the rights for the World Cup that SKY didn't have for several years.

Well that was easier than I expected. Somerset have been dreadful at Monmore twice now. Don't think I've ever been so bored at a Wolves meeting before. No fight, no effort. Very poor. Maybe Wolves were just on fire as well. Worst crowd of the season, worst match at Monmore in a long time. Wolves FRED - only Heeps got close surprisingly but looked very quick too. 5/5 KYLE - how we have missed his contribution. Barely touched till heat 15 and even then rode hard and determined to get his paid max 5/5 MOTM RORY - untouchable until heat 12 when he got out gated and then when chasing lost further ground by getting out of shape on bend 4. 4/5 JACOB - never looked like being touched. 5/5 SAM - who would have known he had a big crash yesterday? 2 quick heats. 3.5/5 ELLIS - I was ready to say he is clueless at Monmore but then picked himself up after an awkward fall in heat 14, out battled Kerr and then set after Hougaard. 1/5 NATHAN - he only scored in heat 2 but was battling in the other heats. Still the better reserve. 1.5/5 Rebels Lawson - dreadful. Only beat perks. 0.5/5 Heeps - got better and quicker as the match went on. 2.5/5 Wright - disappointing. Didn't really look that interested either. 1.5/5 Hougaard - good when he gated which was once. 2/5 Allen - at least looked interested and rode well. Deserved more rides.3/5 Kerr - beat only reserves. Hardly remembered any of his heats he was that nondescript. 1.5/5 Grajczonek was a miss, thru injury in Poland.

Lindgren is in the Twilight of his career??? Really? I suggest you look at this season to see he is riding better than ever at the highest level, and not even at his peak IMHO. Seems fair to me too.

Belle Vue Aces Vs Poole Pirate 31/07

Tonight was never in the TV scheduling released from BT. Radio Times must have messed up. -
You would think he has been riding well everywhere else this year! !
-
Thanks, hadn't seen that yet. Dodgy either way then.
-
I'm not sure if I've made that clear in the past.
-
Both Chris Holder and Jacob Thorssell have been at reserve in Sweden this year. If you aren't performing well that's the consequence.

Belle Vue Aces Vs Poole Pirate 31/07

It shut Friday. -
Both teams at full strength? Masters hurt ribs in a crash today and withdrew from the meeting. Must be a doubt. Great news we have Kyle back tho. I can see a close match if it's RR for Sam. Predictions?? I will go with 49-41.

Belle Vue V Wolves Mon 24/7/17
stevebrum replied to hyderd's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
as I've said previously I always try to look at things without my Wolves head on and I fully get the point that bringing in our world champion asset for a rider who has done little wrong a bit harsh and maybe raised a few questions. And maybe the timing too. That's been addressed this season and again I have no issue with that. People saying it just wasn't fair cuts no mustard tho. no one felt sorry for us in 2014 when we had to suffer Woffy's dire form and no one questioned it as an average reduction exercise. We suffered badly that year. We had a whole season of dire from Woffy to attain that TRUE average. An average we could use again within 3 seasons (within the rules). For his average to be raised to stop other teams and fans moaning would have been a totally crazy thing to have happened! As explained above, the timing issue has been addressed this season and again no issues from me. If any one team deserved to gain from Tai's dreadfully low average it would be a wolves. It would be totally unjust for any other team to gain from that. No one team can take the moral high ground this season with everyone making changes but of course if any one team was likely to take the moral high ground last season it would be the Aces. That said winning the league with the same 7 riders would be perfect for British Speedway, it's highly unlikely in the age of the Play Offs however. It may be seen as unfair last year however Wolves won the title within the rules and (literally) played all the Aces. -
I wouldn't want him at Wolves in any capacity.

Thanks Neil, it's nice to be properly educated about the rules.

Belle Vue V Wolves Mon 24/7/17
stevebrum replied to hyderd's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
You don't have an agenda WG. Nothing unfair about the move in bringing in your own asset who just happens to be on a low average earned by a season of misery for Wolves fans. If I take my Wolves hat off and see another club bring a club asset back to boost a play off booth then I'd have to say fair play. -
Is this being shown on UK TV at any point does anyone know?

Isn't it awful that poor Belle Vue have to work on a budget (apparently). Some still have that green eyed monster syndrome. -
Thanks Neil. So it would be the score from their 4 rides and not from extra rides that count?
-
Top scorers is from programmed rides tho.
-
No you can't. Has to be top 3 scorer on match average. Reserve can only come in for exclusion or injury. 15.14 TOP SCORER’S HEAT (Heat 15 in all SGB League Competitions). 15.14.1 Gate Positions are determined by the outcome of the Coin Toss at the start of the Meeting. 15.14.2 The Home Team Manager nominates first, but once nominated these cannot be amended, except by the Referee should the nomination not conform to the Regulations. 15.14.3 Nominations must be a ‘qualified’ Rider, determined as either: a) A Rider in the top 3 of that Meeting’s Team by current MA (NB. A Team missing one of the top 3 and using the RR facility) may use the 4 th highest Rider by MA. or A Top 3 points scorer (counting the 4 x programmed rides only, including bonus points) or if one of those top 3 points scorers has already taken 7 rides then the 4 th highest points scorer becomes a ‘qualified’ rider. (NB: No facility is available allowing another rider to be elevated to the qualified list if any of those top 3 points scorers are unavailable due to be withdrawn or has no equipment). If a rider is disqualified for an offence under Art 15.3 the Team Manager may choose either of the following options: - i) The disqualified rider can start on a 15 metre handicap in c or d (The opposing team does not change gate positions). or ii) Is replaced by a reserve who will start from the same gate position at the tapes. In a re-run of heat 15 a non-disqualified rider who is unable to take part may be replaced by a reserve or another ‘qualified’ rider.

At least he will double his scores this way. Thankfully Rye have been to Wolves twice. Couldn't bear watching him struggle again (although in fairness every team including Poole have had to witness that this season). It comes to something when the league is at its weakest in history yet KK will be a reserve. World class my rear!!!!!!
-
You make a very fair point tellboy. If they aren't allowed to be introduced the following season I'd say there is even less chance of bringing back a rider from the current season!
