Exactly, which was my point.

Smektala only finished 3rd and Kubera 4th. Lambert is doing just fine.
-
Lambert has just won the U19 Championship. Didn't he beat some of those highly rated Poles? Just saying.

They have messed the averages up big time for several seasons now. This season they messed up with those ridiculously converted averages over 12. Otherwise the principle of what they were trying to achieve seemed logical and promising. Sadly that's when it goes wrong. Having then allowed riders to achieve 'real' averages (good in my book) they messed up with trying to get everyone on a real average at the same time even reassessing some riders who didn't fit the 4H 4A criteria. (Another mistake). And that's when things got really messed up by dropping any conversion to new riders coming into the league. (Another ill thought out rule). However despite pointing all that out a rider like Tobi came into the league when no conversion was required. That's the point where this argument comes into its own. I have no issue with him coming in for Swindon as the rules allow it. Should he have been reassessed or not? ? I personally don't see any reason why. As for Woryna, I've already acknowledged that he has a higher Polish average than I realised so it will be interesting to see if the 'more than 2 seasons out' rule applies again next season or that's altered to basically affect one rider. If the rules had any level of consistency it might make discussions like these much easier!
-
I stand corrected. Didn't realise the increase was that significant.
-
Don't get why you think it's ludicrous tho. Both Poles had very average seasons when they rode for Coventry and Wolves respectively. Woryna rode last season so only has had one season out the sport. Tobi has had 2 seasons out the UK before signing for Swindon. On this issue the ruling is very clear however .... More than 2 seasons out of the UK. Both riders haven't had more than 2 seasons out the UK. Have either progressed massively to require a reassessment???? Not that much in all honesty.

Then he'd have nothing to say at all. I remember a time when paperboys had more respect.

There are several degrees of concussion so that's not a fair conclusion. Grade 1 is barely noticeable. The problem with the concussion rule is that every rider is treated with the same grading as a precaution.

we need to be at full strength to have a chance against any of the 3. We seem to have ridden Poole with injury concerns which has certainly helped their cause I agree. We would need to be at full strength to have any hope of facing any of the top 3.
-
Shame I didn't speak to you before the weekend then!

Evidence is there. 3 meetings apiece this year. At Wolves we won by 10 in the ES, lost by 4 in the A and won by 7 in the B. At Poole we lost by 26 in the ES, lost by 2 in the A and lost by 3 in the B. Poole have won 4 of the fixtures to Wolves 2. Poole would be clear favourites over 2 legs.
-
Sadly if Poole make the play offs and get Wolves then I fear Poole could still make the final.
-
He didn't have a choice did he?? None of the riders will go against the Polish authorities. And it makes no difference if the club's do either. They take no notice. I see Jack Holder is regularly missing meetings for Peterborough despite Poole saying they refused to give him permission. Poland will have first call on him next year that's for sure.

Contrary to the one man belief you will only ever find one account.
-
I agree they don't exactly help themselves. League fixtures are nearly completed before the play offs (yes even our sport has introduced them!). It was their last home league match on Sunday but still host the kids championships on Saturday 26th. And host the women's league match on Sept 24th. British cycling usually has all the dates for all matches tho. We were talking about the cycle speedway team not the Lions!

He was, put a video up on my FB.

Maybe, maybe not. Personally it isn't the Monday that's the issue. Hardly any top boys want to come here anymore because of A) too many different race nights too many meetings. No one night is better than another under the current structure IMHO. Plus I doubt British speedway will change to assist more riders coming over, mores the pity.
-
Great point for the boys, only the play off counts when hopefully Masters and Riss are back to lead our play off hopes. Riss looked great tonight at Birmingham practising.
-
Aaah you must have meant the Elite League that they pulled out of about 5 seasons ago. That competition no longer runs first time this year in favour of region against region top flight racing. Not the same at all. Be great to see you there some time!
-
Can't think of an incident he has 'misjudged' this season.
-
been the same one for many a year. Rode there on Sunday! I'm looking forward to the 26th too. Got quite a few of our kids riding in it. Depends what you class top division Gem. They have a midland top flight team and all the names you mentioned are all still 1st teamers!Although we beat them at Slater Street on Sunday, not bragging like.
