  1. Even Nigel and Kelvin commented all night on how frustrating he is which was my point. He rode well, doesn't mean that his next match won't be poor naturally.
  2. Mention for doing the job he is meant to do you mean? Makes a change I suppose.
  3. How poor are kings Lynn when they make Coventry look like play off contenders!?! In fairness the Bees looked like they wanted it and deserved the victory. Bates was superb, not sure about the other fast tracker reserve Kacper tho. What another fantastic SKY EL meeting. The PL has a lot to live up to.
  4. Hopefully the Bees won't be too much of an embarrassment live on TV. Should be a routine home win for the Stars. 51-41
  5. As expected a tight encounter and only surprised we led all the way given how good the Aces are. Decent racing and some quick times which surprised me as the track looked slicker than usual. Certainly didn't ride that way if it was. The Kyle and Scott crash in heat 4 looked nasty and could have been much worse. Looked like Scott locked up as Kyle did so thought it might be called back all 4. No surprise that Richie was thrown out of the next running, certainly got none of the finesse from the Nicki Pedersen school of diving. 6 of the Wolves got at least one win which probably made the difference overall. An entertaining fixture as I expected it to be. WOLVES FRED - a sublime win on the line over Cook in heat 10, nearly clattered into Scott in the final heat which killed his race. 3.5/5 PK - a great win in heat 9 but was poor out the gate in the rest, certainly gave effort in the chase. 1.5/5 JACOB - one good win and gave chase in heat 14. 2/5 SAM - excellent night and rode a superb race to nearly deny Zagar in the 15th only to lose it on the line. 4.5/5 MOTM JOONAS - solid night without being spectacular. 3/5 MAX - his first 2 rides were the best I've seen him ride at this level. Where did heat 5 come from? Nothing after that but he had already done his job by heat 5. 3/5 KYLE - nasty crash in the 4th and maybe had an effect. That said when Clegg is having 5 rides you know something is wrong. 1/5 ACES Zagar - came to life in the last 2 but dreadful before that. 2.5/5 Fricke - plenty of effort for scant reward. 2/5 Stevie -out of his depth as heat leader 1/5 Nicholls - full effort as always from Scottie, the most consistent Ace. 3.5/5 Cook - looked quick and threatening but got caught out in the 13th , not surprised he was overlooked for heat 15. 2.5/5 Richie - what a decent reserve should score and helped keep his side in the match. 3.5/5 Jacobs - gating well holding positions not his strong point. 1/5
  6. Richie went down with ease as he was moved over. Right call by the ref.
  7. Surprised it's even still on at this late stage. We need no more rain tho. I will take a draw right now. Wolves toughest test so far.
  8. Given how many were saying Wolves would clean up at reserve with the outstanding top EDR rider on experience of the EL alone he should have done better. Regards Wright on checking his scores he hasn't scored anywhere near as much as I thought. The 15+2 he scored against us probably clouded my judgement. The facts on this occasion appear to back that up.
  9. Yet Wright, who appears to have done well is below all of them. Bizarre.
  10. Yet he is 4th on official edr averages , with only Worrall, Newman and Ellis above him.
  11. RR for your weakest rider is always likely to weaken you usually. It could be argued that we MIGHT have had good cover for PK IF Kyle had scored double figures. On paper we had a better chance with RR for a rider higher up (Sam) because of heat leaders and second strings being able to take rides. The rights and wrongs of whether Sam SHOULD have ridden when his PL fixture was cancelled is a separate argument. We were under strength even if PK rode so would have been missing a rider. anyone with half a brain would know that using RR for your weakest rider is often making you weaker if you have to use reserves for half of those rides at least. It's not rocket science.
  12. Thanks for the update and reassuring that the fight we have seen all season was at least in presence if not in score. The Aces really are the dogs wotsits this season. Looking forward to coming up for the B fixture, and hopefully play offs.
  13. One says a two man team, the other says 3 man. Think I will believe the person who actually attended.
  14. Total rubbish. RR for PK would have meant more rides for the reserves who were rubbish. It would have meant a near maximum from Masters to have got anything from tonight. Yes he is in good form but on paper Adams made the right move, no dispute.
  15. with Masters there we would have had to have run RR for PK instead. That would have made us even weaker. But proper speedway fans could see that. What about 2002 and 2009? We have won more titles in the past 20 years than all teams bar Poole and Coventry. A rubbish performance by all accounts however the Aces, with Poole, remain the teams still to beat. Would we have got more with Sam and PK? I'd like to think so but even with a weakened team tonight that was still poor. Howarth a huge disappointment.
  16. Hansen is guesting for PK. RR is for Masters. Hopefully he can make it now.
  17. If Masters is free to ride now I see no reason why he can't. Hopefully he will turn up to give us a fighting chance.
  18. Sick of this weather, hope it improves for the B fixture and we can take a full side.
  19. 3 weeks ago however. But part of the reason why all British riders should be allowed to double up/down if they want to.
  20. Wrong. He scored 13 for Holsterbro 3 weeks ago.
