  1. So what is clear about what we now know? - the race format is the same as this season. - there were 18 riders on the HL list so not all teams will have 3 (assessed) heat leaders. These riders were graded by all promotions. - The HL leader list was to ensure teams got at least 1 or 2 from that list. - averages will count when determining the race order, not the HL list. - only tier 1 reserves will move up not tier 2. Both get new averages. - shared jobs and 2 day race night is likely to be considered as way forward in 2017. - the 'hidden' lists are likely to be public in January.
  2. we all know the EL is a state. However British speedway is in a state so ALL leagues are guilty. just worry about having 2 dodgy Poles and the weakest reserves in the EL. That should keep you busy. Wake up. If you believe the PL Is in a healthy state then you have lost the plot!
  3. Must admit I was taken aback when it was announced the race format hasn't changed. After discussing all the things they (AGM) got wrong and sort to rectify the race programme to most of us is part of that problem so I find it baffling. But yes they will, but then so did the 4 point foreigners who were assessed wrongly for years as well. Hopefully some common sense will prevail for the draft riders and maybe they will continue to refer to their PL averages for next season also.
  4. Confirmed that race format remains the same. Averages every 2 weeks.
  5. News from tonight's talk in. -Lindgren, Kylmakorpi and Bech confirmed 3 heat leaders.* -Lindgren starts the season as second string. -heat leader/draft list available from January (assuming for supporters). The list was graded by the promotions and BSPA. -Howarth only reserve on EL average (due to being in 1-5 this season). -There is a plan A for the last places and CVS says 80% sure. Says we will be very happy with them. PK and Ricky are part of other team ideas not main plan. Both are aware. Ricky is disappointed whereas PK isn't ultra keen to come back to UK. -PA suggested shared number one roles (and job shares for other roles) was asked to canvas the top boys and Poles. All agreed they would be happy to come over for less meetings. One promoter wasn't keen as he was in advanced talks with a rider for a full season and didn't want that jeapodised (self interest ??) Likely to happen in 2017*. -Track share - CVS thinks it won't be a problem. Will probably be 1st and 3rd Monday of each month (includes B/hols). Poland fixtures permitting. -Averages change every 2 weeks to ensure riders aren't stuck in riding positions too long. All riders get new averages each time but only tier 1 riders move up and down team order. Tier 2 riders stay at reserve all season.* Joonas - concentrating on Speedway and approached Wolves. Bech - suprisingly was still available and wants to ride for Wolves. Fred - couldn't get out of rut this season and was given a mild reception when name was announced. Max - is full of himself but is keen and listens (CVS words).A younger rider preferred at number 7.Ash may have been considered but with no PL place make naming him difficult. Skornicki - is planning to race again and is probably looking for PL place. Unlikely to be back with Wolves in the future. Jacob - is still in team permutations. Didn't specify if plan A or not. (That's probably a yes then!) Joel Andersson - not being considered for 2016. - * NO CHANGES ON RACE FORMAT.* - CVS was asked about an independent body to run the sport but said there was no such thing as independence. There is a ref that has a Belle Vue tattoo! " are we targeting any Swindon riders? " - NO. (So no bachelor hurrah!!!) - safety issues. Nothing at present although they are looking at what is behind the fences in the near future. Darcy and Rico were freak accidents. Sudden Sam is looking at developing bikes that need less maintainence and help cut costs. *NEW RULE ON CONCUSSION - 9 day break Europe wide. * Wolves have 3 off the heat leader list. Not all teams will. *WOLVES VOTED BEST RACE TRACK OF THE YEAR by referees AGAIN. * It wasn't mentioned if Wells was a heat leader. And he won't be because he is being considered with PK if plan A doesn't happen.
  6. I'm talking about world class riders Jacques, not GP flops.we already have one of them I think our blonde is better tho
  7. Fantastic news Matej is back, certainly gives the EL extra kudos with him in it.
  8. In all honesty i think most of us think the same, but the ridiculous absence of this supposed list is just making everyone make assumptions without any real basis. If andersen, for example, is a second string at Poole whilst Freddie (who's average is lower!) Is a heat leader it's going to be a farce.
  9. Have we? Where is the list or press release that confirms it then?
  10. rumours, might know more in 24 hrs time tho! Potentially 2 Poles that could be on their way out before May starts. Loving the team building.
  11. Might make no difference. Lambert started as second string and finished 2nd in the Stars final averages whilst Andersen started as heat leader and finished 2nd string and is rumoured to be second string at Poole! The only thing that could clear it up is this elusive HL list!
  12. Me too. Makes complete sense now. They could tinker with the number 7 heats. But it should revert to the previous format now.
  13. it's only speculation who is or isn't on the list and if PK is not coming back right now. Nothing official announced on either. Again, that's the speculation. No indication that's true or not.
  14. Nobody has been declared as a heat leader by wolves and there is no list that confirms either way. It's all just speculation right now. Hans and Freddie should both be classed as HL tho. Because he has never ridden as a HL.
  15. Yes flying isn't a issue. Sitting upstairs in a sporting venue is an issue. It really isn't that difficult to understand. Not every venue in Poland is seated as far as I'm aware. Yes I recall that meeting very well. It was a pathetic and abject performance, well more pathetic than a usual Monmore performance. He has proven he can ride wolves with the odd stunning ride, but he usually can't be bothered most of the time.
  16. I'll do em if it's standing. I don't do sitting or heights lol
  17. Last press release I saw was that he was HL, as he should be.
  18. And remember this is a rider sacked 3 times by 3 different clubs in recent history. Otherwise he has at best a chequered history in the EL. He has fallen right off the world map in 2015. He is no bigger a signing than Freddie at this stage of his career. He certainly has potential to do well in this weakened league, that said I couldn't be happier he isn't at wolves. Like the idea of a travelling wolves club. It's up to CVS if he wants my ongoing money after 2016 then!
  19. My, you are sharp thus evening, makes a change. In case you aren't as bright as I'd expect the reason I made the comment because he his history on the GP stage has been average at best. 2014 as far as I'm concerned came from nowhere and was a one off.
  20. As you asked I will answer. I would prefer the BSPA concentrate on falling in line with Poland/Sweden (Denmark to some extent) and work towards a shorter league programme and try give us back a top league to be proud of. I know I'm dreaming and will probably not happen. I know all the pit falls of clubs not owning there tracks/race nights set by availability/set amount of meetings required/same day league racing not suitable for all. The worrying thing is that we are slowly turning into a glorified PL with a few of the top boys and even that might be watered down over the next year or 2. If I wanted to watch regular PL meetings I would go elsewhere also. And I do. But that's my choice to go and watch other leagues/riders etc. So the question remains - do I want weekly PL standard league or every other week with better standard riders?? The 2nd option every time. I have no interest in regular PL standard weekly racing. I'd rather put my interests into other things including saving my money to go sliding more often myself. The long term future for the EL appears not having one (one big weak league couldn't be classed top flight racing) so will alienate further more who are fed up and drifting away because more and more top riders drop out. I will likely be one of them. As I have stated many times we should be doing more to bring the top boys back as that's the only way to save the top flight. As per usual nothing is done and the sport sheds more speedway folk with each passing season. We are fast becoming a league with no credibility in a year when we have the World Cup Final and a British World Champ. I can see myself commuting to Poland once a month to watch league racing and cut out the EL if it gets any weaker, guess I'd be 'doing a woffy'.
  21. Rather any of those 3 than KK. Plus we don't know if they are heat leaders yet, unless you can show me the list of course.
  22. guess he was unlucky to be sacked by the Bees management then! PMSFL Fair enough! Plenty of true speedway supporters around thankfully. I'm not too concerned about Howarth around Monmore, it might not rank as his favourite track but riding it regular will help. Plus he plenty of experience on all the other tracks. World number 2 only 2 years ago! I wondered how on earth he managed it personally.
