Poole Pirates Vs Swindon Robins 29/7/15

I got shot down for daring to suggest Poole would walk it and that Swindon are gash away from home. -

I see the bragging Swindon fans are quiet since last night. -

mine have already gone, won't be long before the Robins dreams are finished. Beating Wolves has given you false belief. It's clear against sides much better than Wolves the Robins are fodder. without question yes. The easiest prediction I've made this week. Was never in doubt. -
Apparently playing to great crowds is a sin to those that knock the play offs.

That's the spirit, keep the belief. Only difference is that AM wanted to be at Poole, same as Ward. -

Not at all. A win at Wolves doesn't suddenly make you good away. Even we were better away than your lot up to last night. -

thankfully we aren't as bad as Leicester. It's the same old story, get ourselves into a good position and then completely capitulate. It just proves that last week against Poole was a one off. The crowd was better than i expected however the track isn't quite the same these days or the boys have just forgot how to ride it. Still not convinced about Swindon making the play offs but let's face it you can only beat what's in front of you, luckily for them it was a side too shy to bother to win matches anymore. Morris I hear re - opened the gash on his arm so bad luck on that one, no idea what happened to Tobby. Thank god Lambert is in town next week, he would be the only thing worth going for. WOLVES FREDDIE - 1ST 3 heats the Freddie of old, next 2 heats replaced by the 2015 version. 3/5 JACOB - definetly in a bit of form and showed Ward the way in Heat 1. Struggles when the track gets slicker but earned heat 15. 3.5/5 RICKY - mid part of the meeting was excellent but Heat 14 was a nightmare. 2.5/5 TOBBY - clumsy tape touching in heat 3 followed by a mindless fall on 1st bend, however his effort in heat 6 was worth the admission fee alone and as always gives us a little glimpse of his ability. 0.5/5 PK - out of his depth at number one and heat leader, battled hard in heat 13 however he looks to have forgotten the lines he is so famous at Monmore for. 1.5/5 LEWIS - beat no one of any real standing and joined in the rot of our downfall with the fall in heat 12. 2/5 JOSH - did his job in Heat 4 but struggled otherwise. 1/5 ROBINS Ward - got owned in heats 1 and 10 otherwise the expected effort you come to expect. 3.5/5 Krcmar - just about beat Bates which summed his night up. 0.5/5 Morris - only had the one race to write about before he caused his own fall in the 7th. 1/5 Zengota - one off race against a strong Wolves pairing in heat 7, otherwise exemplary. 4.5/5 Batch - had the odd couple of battling races without ever looking like winning one, the standard Batch setting. 2.5/5 Wright - did his job at reserve and surprised he only had 4 rides, I expected one of ash's and one of Eduard's, excellent nights work tho. 4/5 Ash Morris - did his job well picking up points gifted to him. 2/5

King's Lynn V Leicester (29.07.15)

Stars should get 60 or more. -
It's a must win meeting for the Robins if they have any real hope of making the play offs. Hopefully a home win by 7 or more will make me very happy.

Averages for the season so far (source speedway star ) has Newman ahead on 7.90, Garrity 2nd on 7.78 and Auty 3rd on 7.29. Kerr on 7.14, Wright 6.61, Worrall 6.81, Birks 7.13 and Blackbird on 6.53.

Should be an away win.

To be honest any of us who go when the weather is iffy should expect to only see 10 heats, Sweden can call it after 8 heats!

Heat 1 proved different.

Poole Pirates Vs Wolverhampton Wolves 22/7/15
stevebrum replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
No deliberate engine failures or averaging lowering just a team in freefall. Still, I'd rather a team be crap than cheat. The expected result that proved Monday was a one off. -

Think we all get, you are still stuck in the 60's and 70's. However back in the real world the play offs will have the crowds flocking to big time speedway. Hurrah for the play offs! The fact is the best team won on the day. -

Good win for the Aces puts them back in the top 4, a place they deserve this year. -

Thems the breaks. Perhaps you coasted in the 2nd half believing the job was done. Let's face it most did. Wolves had to show some fight eventually so it's hardly anything to groan about. You got exactly what you deserved out of the meeting in the end. At least Leicester fall to the basement so there has to be something to be grateful for. -

It's not a poor performance when you take something out of an away meeting. -
