  1. And it was heard saying if it's ok for heat 9 it's ok for heat 10. Closed again.
  2. The track was declared ok to ride heat 9 and 10. Not to produce the best speedway ever seen. Case would appear closed.
  3. Yea I agree. But the predictable speedway answer to a problem, it's always somebody else's fault.
  4. The expected reply from the always do things by the book Bees, except when they are happy to push for a heat 10 call off regardless off the weather to get all the away points. It's not for me to point out the obvious that the last part of their statement is typically hypocritical as that's blooming obvious! The last part stinks of sour grapes and sours any real argument they may have had about the original statement.
  5. First chance I've had to watch the match today, predictable result against a ravaged stars side. Well done to Darcy for showing great remorse for his actions and apologising to his fans and team mates for letting them down and his only lesson learned is sitting in front of the telly watching Greg Hancock gate. As expected has learned little.
  6. The point is we will always have speedway, the point remains that more and more are lost to the sport because of the way it's run. when I started going as a kid meetings would run irregardless of the weather. Now its called off at the slightest hint of a drop of rain. It's no wonder no one but the hardcore bother to go because unless it's a Dry warm day there is no security to the casual fan that racing will happen. Nothing to do with Charlie. She will do it every week if asked, that's her job. Still can't take away the fact she us pretty clueless about speedway after all these years.
  7. Yea great idea, not. Take away the TV audience who won't suddenly all start turning up to live Speedway - they will be lost to the sport. So infact you are advocating we lose yet more of a viewing audience.
  8. Not so, nothing wrong with the track in heat 1.
  9. The problem with that however is that the track proved from the off it was perfectly raceable. Everyone knew the weather was turning eventually but you can't say the track should be deemed unfit when it was fine from the off. Absolutely spot on. Speedway fans demand perfect tracks, perfect weather and every meeting to be a classic. Some really need to wake up to the real world. As has been proven time and time again, it's only dangerous when the losing manager wants a call off or the winning manager wants to get a result. The 'rider safety ' issue is a pile of rubbish.
  10. And the PL are only too happy to want a piece of it. And the PL would love more of it too and would do the same. Don't kid yourself any different.
  11. Well done to the Pirates for seeing it thru to a predictable heat 10 call off. Sulky Havvy puts himself in a poor light yet again. Toys out the pram because your boys were being owned. What happened to one of the best reserves , Sarj, tonight ?
  12. I watched a superb heat 6, have you got another channel on?
  13. I take it Havvy is going to moan about yet more refereeing decisions against his Bees. Someone just needs to tell him the ref was 100% correct. PMSFL
  14. What a great race in heat 6. Is that pouring rain I see?? Just goes to show it's possible.
  15. Thought someone said Sarjeant was one of the best reserves in the league?
  16. You can only beat what's in front of ya, but away points on the board helps.
  17. It would be unfair to default a side with no form for winning away
  18. That's it, keep the faith. Away wins will determine. Aces, Wolves need more. The Robins just need to start winning some away.
  19. Ok I stand corrected, Kerr started as 2nd heat leader and moved to Number one at Newcastle in May, yet you want us to believe the Glasgow reserve Sarj is already a better PL rider (your words). Sarj is tier 2 so is hardly comparable to a 1st tier rider as far as a like for like goes. He is having a great season and I am no way knocking the lad. If he was free to guest tonight I'd rather Sarj than James Wright that's for sure. But he would no way be a like for like replacement because of their tier grading and as far as I'm concerned the 1st tier riders are all like for like and should all be able to guest for each other IMHO.
  20. You mean his PL average from reserve? Yea that's a really true reflection of comparison - NOT. Kerr started the season at Newcastle at number 1 and Sarj is still a reserve but if you really want to believe that Sarj is already better than Kerr then go ahead. By the same argument you must feel that Garrity is already a better EL rider than Schlein, AJ, Freddie, Cook, Holder, Zagar, Andersen, North, King, Watt, Howarth, Fricke, Milston, Bech et Al. Yea, great logic. Why who is Kildemand likely to be riding for in the play offs? ;-)) Glad they did. It's already been allowed for teams to call off matches to suit (copyright Poole) so seems completely fair to me. Why should we race so weakened? On a less sarcastic note the forecast is awful and would have been financial suicide to run a meeting with a poor forecast and injury woes. Right call, well done CVS. Let's face the Robins when they have Miedzinski back and have little to play for
  21. They aren't, put Sarjeant as senior reserve and he would be no way as prolific. Sarjeant is rapidly improving and I rate him but I doubt he would be even considered 1st pick next season.
  22. Yea, the guy deemed only good enough to be mid down the 2nd draft pick. Seeing as he is doing so well how many times has he replaced Garrity because he was scoring more points? If you seriously believe Sarjeant is as good as Kerr and Blackbird then fair enough. He will always play second fiddle to Garrity as he should do.
  23. I see your point however you cannot call Sarjeant a match winning reserve because without the scores of Garrity (who is your match winning reserve) you wouldn't have even been in the same position. The top graded reserves are meant to be fairly equal but it's Garrity plus the usual suspects like Newman, Kerr and Blackbird who are scoring big points. Obviously the 2nd tiered draft riders make a difference and Sarjeant is clearly the best of the 2nd tier riders. He won't be getting 12-17 points a match which makes all the difference regards winning matches. Blackbird, like Garrity are the riders expected to score the big points so replacing them with much worse riders are a much bigger loss.
