  1. I must admit quite a lot of the Swedish meetings are overrated although late on they can offer good racing and sometimes the odd great match. We are a nation of moaners now so of course if every match (or game dependant on sport) isn’t full of quality action they will be met with torrents of complaints. Sometimes the consumer expects to much!
  2. On paper yes, but we all know we don’t ride on paper! Be interesting to see if they give us the same power as Ippo.
  3. It’s still a solid day of work to completely relay a track and pack it in.
  4. I agree the bikes do struggle with the tracks here as well but that’s been an issue for a while now. The lack of suitable shale over the past 2 seasons as seen quite a rise in fans of the home clubs complaining about the poor racing and acknowledged by a lot of promoters. There are still tracks that still get praise tho (like NSS, Peterborough, Scunthorpe) so for me the current issue was tracks as well as the current bikes.
  5. Have you seen Wolves away? We are as bad as the Aces! Nothing to brag about beating the Panthers home and away. Hopefully it will ensure we won’t finish bottom. But I’m more than happy to be proved wrong on Thursday!
  6. Better track prep is needed and I think the availability of the right shale has had a major impact on the majority of clubs.
  7. Good to see the Wolves have found the ability to win at home again. At least we have bought a little distance from the basement.
  8. Ditto most tracks. I remember a time when Poole was brilliant as well. Those days are long gone.
  9. There used to be a dick-a-dum-dum too. According to Des OConnor.
  10. Should be a routine home win, with the Aces sent home pointless. I reckon this will be the start of the Robins securing that top 4 spot.
  11. They do, as a separate addition. All added to the same bill tho.
  12. He did the same thing on the Wolves official FB page.
  13. Unless it’s traffic cones then that’s one tricky 99.
  14. It’s looking that way. Too tough a job now to make top 4.
  15. You mean a rider who is a Wolves asset and has top scored twice this season? Nick scored 6 in his first Wolves match and 5 or less since. His Wolves average is 3.76. Enough said. And enough time given. Swindon have had dreadful luck with injuries at crucial times tho and are still in contention. We stood by 2 riders who started with injuries and they have come back and have failed to delivered what has been expected, ditto 4 others. Luke is the only light so far this year.
  16. Exactly. The Wolves promotion will probably be that stupid too as well. So over this on paper power packed side now.
  17. On paper should be dreaded. But I think they have mice on their race fronts not Wolves. Time is up for Morris. Time to let him go. Time to try someone new.
  18. They have 4, they just need a consistent one. We need a number one. Too late now.
  19. With rr and rider just back from injury we should have been. But as this is Wolves I take your point. Wolves just not good enough this year, pure and simple. Well done to the Robins for the win. Now to chase for that top 4 spot. My last time talking the Wolves up this season. It’s clear there is not the chemistry or desire to fight for glory this season. Swindon or Lynn for the 4th spot whilst we fight it out with the Panthers for the basement.
  20. If Nick goes well it will be the first time this season. At least the new look track is more similar to Wolves than it used to be.
  21. It’s one of those times when the opposition really needs to smell blood. Losing Adam to RR and with Tobi only just coming back should signal a chance of an away win although our record at Blunsdon isn’t great. You have to feel for the Robins who seem to have had no luck all season. However I expect Wolves now to be favourites to win tonight.
