  1. The way it should be at every track so unsavoury incidents like the stupid one at Eastbourne don’t occur. KISS - keep it simple stupid.
  2. Less crashes than we saw at the British Final I guess. Anyway let’s not start a safe track discussion. It used to get boring with you know who.
  3. I’m guessing this practise may change as a consequence, or be very surprised if it’s allowed to continue.
  4. I’ve seen this as a recent practice to introduce riders to the crowd. I think they are meant to be riding round not at a racing pace. And yes I agree it’s a safety issue. There is an easier solution. Riders respect the parade and don’t push off until it’s safe to do so. Also all officials and Marshals stay within their designated area. Marshals ensure children and sponsors/media stay within that designated area until red lights are on and all riders have left the track. So simple it usually always works!
  5. Doesn’t matter how long something has been done, if a flaw has been identified it needs actioning. It’s generally only when an incident happens that changes are made. No Marshal should be on any track when bikes are. It’s common sense.
  6. Marshals only produce red flag when red lights are on. And only from a designated area from centre green. I’ve never seen any rider ignore red lights. The fracas is irrelevant. 1. If ref puts on ref lights riders must stop because it’s a SAFETY issue. 2. Marshals should produce a red flag when red lights are on and only from a designated area from the centre green because of SAFETY issues. Seems 1 and 2 have been broken. So both parties are equally at fault. The rest of the discussion is reasons, excuses, what might have/ should have/could have done. Equally i’m no fan of Cook, overrated prima donna. Cook’s actions were wrong, equally so the marshal. Both have a duty of care when on track.
  7. Yes I’ve seen some tracks do do this. Ipswich used to as well? Hopefully this incident will ensure NO track will have a marshal on track when bikes are on.
  8. No Marshal should be on track at any time when bikes are. Whether bikes are meant to be there or not! The Marshal 100% caused this incident. If Cook rode around with red lights on that’s wrong, it’s not the job of a marshal to be on track and standing in front of a moving bike. EVER!
  9. No referee would ask a marshal to stand in the middle of the track preventing a rider from doing laps. No official would ask that. ALL marshals are asked to sign a Heath and Safety form at the start of the season to ensure they understand their responsibilities are. Standing on the track at ANY time when bikes are on the track is a complete no no. No flag Marshall will be instructed to be on the track when bikes are. Seems it’s you that is spouting bs skidder1!
  10. NO marshal should ever be on track when bikes are. Simple. No marshal should ever be on track when bikes are. Only if safe to do so. Cooks actions are a different matter. The fact Cook WAS on the track meant the Marshall should NOT be! Simples.
  11. All started by the actions of the Marshall who should NOT be standing in the middle of the track flagging. Completely wrong.
  12. Good to finally see some evidence of what happened. 1. The flag Marshall should NEVER be on track waving a flag. That is putting himself and a rider at risk. As a Marshall you are told to stand behind a perimeter area (usually coned out) and definitely NOT on the track. What this Marshall did was take the law into his own hands and stand in the middle of the track waving a flag and then veer towards the riders path. You are a Marshall with duties, not a vigilante. Has he been trained? Doesn’t look it to me or Eastbourne don’t take the safety of people in the middle very seriously. 2. Cook was totally in the wrong riding at him (although in fairness what else could he done with the Marshall aiming himself at him). There was no excuse for head butting him either. Very unprofessional behaviour and surely he has to be reprimanded following this? The Marshall was the person who instigated this tho so is equally as guilty.
  13. Disagree. IF and it’s a big IF we win at Swindon on Thursday then we will soon be counted out again. 1 point ahead of Swindon who have 2 matches up on us. The Aces already have points in the bag so I reckon will stay top 4. It will take one almighty surge in form to start winning away and give much needed extra points for the top 4. IF that was to happen then Wolves would be peaking at the right time and would be huge favourites to go on and win the title. Only a win at Swindon will keep us right in the top 4 race. However well done to the boys for making the Aces look ordinary on the road again.
  14. My heart says a narrow win for Wolves 44-46, but my brain says 51-39. Huge match for both clubs.
  15. Don’t really know enough about him to know what to search although not sure I’d want to follow it anyway!
  16. Never followed him on Twitter so surprised he is back on there.
  17. So Wolves could go top 4 with a win on Monday. Making Thursdays trip to Swindon extra special. The Aces completely owned us last time and are strengthened up even more with Musielak guesting for Bewley. Tobi has ridden Monmore well so it’s a significant guest booking. A ‘must’ win match for Wolves with a revised line up with Luke at 2 and Ryan dropping to reserve. The Aces are such a danger at Monmore and they look favourites for the win for me however I gotta believe the boys will step up and send home the Aces pointless. Head says 40-50, heart says 49-41. WOLVERHAMPTON: Jacob Thorssell, Luke Becker, Rory Schlein, Nick Morris, Sam Masters, Kyle Howarth, Ryan Douglas.BELLE VUE: Max Fricke, Steve Worrall, Tobiasz Musielak, Dimitri Berge, Kenneth Bjerre, Jaimon Lidsey, Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen. thoughts?
  18. Think all the Polish tracks and the NSS should host the GP’s.
