  1. Starting his rehab in Poland Sunday so I’d imagine he will be pretty ready to go come the start of the season.
  2. It was auntie Doris who suggested Wolves 2017, so best try not fabricating things either. i know you have dismissed my pick (you know the one that aunt doris made, strangely not quoting that one tho) likewise I have dismissed your authority on who deserves MOST unfortunate. Any team being discussed in this thread belongs there. Just because you decide they don’t is of no importance.
  3. It won’t matter because Bwitcher has already declared only one team deserves the MOST unfortunate team. So no other option is valid. meanwhile its good to read other versions of teams that suffered misfortune over the years. I don’t believe either that teams from the play off era can’t be compared to teams prior the era. An unlucky team is an unlucky team. One could argue that Mildenhall were ‘unfortunate’ that there were play offs in 2018 having been unbeaten all season long and then lost one rider after another when it mattered. Its all about opinions anyway so it’s good to read other view points. Wolves 93 may well be the most unfortunate team in history , depends on your viewpoint - thankfully.
  4. If the thread was titled most unlucky team ever you might have a point. Its not the definitive most unlucky team ever thread, maybe set one up to prove your point. There are many examples of unfortunate teams throughout the years, as evidenced on this thread. All are valid reasons.
  5. In my living memory the team of 98 for Ippo was the strongest I can remember. Only other team I can remember close to that would be one of the Cradley teams of the 80’s.
  6. It was just my opinion that I agreed with the poster. I didn’t say that it was the definitive answer to the topic.
  7. Woryna was given a ridiculously outdated average to come back on but new assessed seems an even trickier one to even try to get right. Woryna finished 6.36 to show his outdated average was just that.
  8. No surprise that Tungate is announced at Peterborough, think most on here expected it. Weakens the Panthers imho.
  9. It’s amazing how weak our league is these days yet a class rider like Iversen really struggled. Obviously was struggling with his shoulder injury but it goes to show nothing is certain in this league. Yes, Bjerre should be one of the top 5 riders with ease this season. Time will tell.
  10. Everyone assumed that of Iversen last year.
  11. Any team would be worried if they were possibly getting Tungate as a genuine heat leader. He has proven time and again he isn’t any better than a poor 3rd heat leader.
  12. Thing is it’s never been one leagues problem. You only need to look at the ever decreasing amount of 2nd tier teams to see my point. The problem has been the self centred nature of promoters and self interest of each league always working against each other. Speedway is in a terribly unviable state for people to become involved in, and this mostly starts from the head table causing some of these issues.
  13. The racing isn’t better, it’s just as good. A good speedway race is a good speedway race irregardless of what year or era it was. Its the million dollar question why stadiums aren’t packed out anymore, and there are probably as many reasons why. Speedway just loss mass appeal and its shot itself in the foot repeatedly for years since trying to find the answers.
  14. It’s a great race, but those sort of races still happen today. Just not in front of massive crowds.
  15. Be interesting to see his scores then, how many times did he ride Monmore? I can’t remember him struggling after his debut. My mind must be getting fuzzy!
  16. Don’t recall what stinker you are referring to at Wolves? i remember his debut at Monmore and it took him 6 laps to work out the best lines. Then he was majestic after that.
  17. Comedy gold by the multi aliased one. Quit attacking the poster, it’s against forum rules you bully. sorry you have to suffer it posting nonsense.
  18. Have you not read the post from Phil multi alias?? Stop trolling and stick to topic. Reported too. One sick individual.
  19. The majority of riders would I’d imagine. Although some riders are more loyal to clubs and vice versa.
  20. Cher did sing a song called bang bang as well.
  21. Gavan is by far not the worst disliked poster on here at all. There are way more candidates that fill that role with much more ease. Gavan makes many reasonable and sensible posts. Some posters do have serious issues with some others on here! Still, each to their own!
  22. In truth form in Oz means little. Tungate and Masters have been recent champions! Lidsey however is the exciting one that should make the difference. Looking forward to watching him. Fricke made good progress last season. I expect something similar this season too.
