  1. Gotta agree on paper Panthers and Wolves both look extremely strong.
  2. Who? as for NBJ if he has an established top flight average that’s the one that should be used, otherwise it’s his championship multiplyer.
  3. I agree it’s not a very inspiring side.
  4. Common link in all 3 is Cook who it would seem isn’t liked by some. If true, I’m sure on the same side would mean less chances to fight on track.
  5. Post where you want Gavan, it’s allowed.
  6. I don’t get the comments that Lambert lacked back up this season. This is the team that finished top of the table!!! Iversen missing the play offs was a tragic blow, whilst he struggled at times I’d still put him and Lambert as a power pair in the big heats this season.
  7. Can’t see why Piotr shouldn’t keep his actual average from 2014, if you use the example of Szczpaniak at Poole this year as the example.
  8. Be interesting to see Lidsey ride and once dialled in will do well at home. Away maybe a struggle just like Etheridge did. Big ask for Bewley to be fit for start of the season. I certainly hope he is. a fairly decent side but need to view it against others when all announced.
  9. Holder and Kurtz as top 2 by the looks of it.
  10. Assuming the expected duo to fill the team then there is plenty of scope for improvement without an out an out number one (the option I’d still prefer). Rory I wouldn’t expect to improve but that’s about the only one. There is an argument that every other rider should be able to add a point or more to those starting averages. Big key would be Becker. He comes with a fair bit of hype although I’m not totally sold on how good he is at this stage but am more than happy to be proved wrong. If he does do ok then it’s safe to say that we will always have a strong reserve which should give us a very solid outfit all throughout the season. i can see senior reserve position switching a few times whilst the number one position likewise could be held by any of that top 4.
  11. I thought he might be good enough to finish top 5 in final averages, along with Morris. He finished 14th overall, which if slightly better than you predicted he would do I’ll take it that it wasn’t ‘very wrong’.
  12. Pardon? Very wrong about what? That Jacob disappointed in 2018? That he will struggle to top 2017 average? ive already said I expected him to do better in 2018 than he did. looking forward to what was ‘very wrong’ about my post.
  13. Plenty of scope if the Pirates are using Kurtz and Jack H. They could both improve massively or falter leading the team. Very similar to starting 2018.
  14. I’m not sure what part you disagree with then as you seem to be agreeing with me!
  15. I personally though Jacob would do much better than he did, didn’t under estimate the task of becoming a number one however which proved he isn’t that level yet. Starting further down the averages (assuming he is returning) should see him back to the standard of 2017 although without the influence of Freddie he will struggle to top that. I hope I’m wrong of course.
  16. Hurrah. I can’t see it ever likely that Jacob will be left out unless he wants a season away. its either going to be a predictable announcement of the last 2 or a shock in store!
  17. Certainly a good start with the names announced so far. Glad to hear Cook is able to get a starting place in the top flight.
  18. So who were crowned league champions then?
  19. Which has been the same argument ever since the Play Offs started 20 years ago.
  20. Great at home, poor away so dropped with the hope that M Riss would score better away. He didn’t so in hindsight the wrong decision. However it was the right thing to do by the Aces management who were entering the play offs in decent form and needed better contribution away from home. Injury ruined any chances they might have had but that’s a different story.
