Perhaps when we know the line up we can judge before condemning.

League trophy given out in October.
-
Yes they have.
-
It’s assumed Cook was released because of wage demands or cost cutting, and his public spat over it gives it some backing. Cook wasn’t released for the good of other clubs that’s for sure.
-
Think that’s what it would be as well.

Shaping up as expected. No surprise at Jacob being announced as if he was really going anywhere else! Still looking to shape up as one of the strongest sides this year with 4 potential number ones. More than happy.
-
That’s put me off my xmas dinner.
-
It’s only that part that keeps me sane!
-
It still annoys me that he is still a Wolves asset. You would be more than welcome to him!
-
Looking like a very uninspiring side so far, however an uninspiring team won the title this year so anything can happen!
-
Shudders at thought.
-
Agreed, very little between them in the UK. What they both achieve at the end of 2019 is pure speculation and not fact anyway.
-
Fricke is one of the next generation of Aussies with great potential and top of the pack when compared to say Kurtz, Holder but he isn’t a true number one yet but probably closest of the rivals of attaining that. Masters is a bit older than Fricke and are about the same level in the UK, however Fricke would be further ahead at achieving an international career.
-
My only point about your comment was that you said he is usually poor on away tracks which we have dispelled as him having some poor away meetings but generally decent away from home. He has only been number one once at Wolves in his career and proved in 2018 he isn’t a number one rider yet, like virtually all of those who started in that position this year barring Doyle and Lambert.
-
I just don’t get why any top level rider would sign for a 2nd division team. The money deal was clearly too good to be true.
-
Nor me.
-
He has barely got many commitments right now tho! Greg has no chance of coming back, he has already said this seasons ago. Way too expensive. He moved into the Polish 2nd division this year where the money was. And now the club has folded because of debts. He won’t come to UK unless it’s mega money which no one can afford. He would only come to use the UK leagues anyway.

It’s difficult to judge any team until all teams complete. But Wolves look strong so far, Peterborough on paper also imho.
-
5 and a half isn’t a high average. Very overrated.
-
In fairness very few are near the level of Freddie in the top flight anymore so a little unfair comparison. 6th best away average proves only 5 were better than him in all away matches last season. This year he didn’t step up to the standard of a number one, but ditto Morris, Kurtz Iversen, Cook etc. Absolutely, he has had the odd stinker away this year but on the whole fairly decent and certainly not drastic. With Thorssell we still have a solid look about the team. If we do sign Pawlicki assuming he is committed of course then it adds a whole different dynamic to the team. I’d have preferred Pawlicki instead of Schlein and also keep Jacob. We would extra points for final member. that said I’m more than happy with what we have so far and what’s likely. I haven’t seen a more solid side yet besides Peterborough.
-
Correct, he doesn’t. Which was my point. Besides the odd poor meeting he has been decent value away the past few seasons now hence why the point acef made isn’t a valid one.
-
It’s irrelevant where he ‘should be’ tho. He was. So your point doesn’t stack up. He has had several poor away performances as a Wolf but many top scoring as well. Besides Doyle and Lambert this year I don’t think one other rider other than Lindgren the year before had a good away record. so your point can apply to just about every other top end league rider.
-
Jacob was 6th best away average overall in 2017 so not traditional at all.
-
No. Riders have to have a minimum ‘earned’ 3 point average.
-
Panthers, like Kings Lynn in the top flight and Mildenhall in the NL had a injury ravaged end to the season. I think all 3 would have won there titles if it weren’t for injuries.
