Sadly there are a few like that on this forum. Despicable. This is why I don’t like rolling averages as they give a completely outdated figure for what they are achieving currently. Some can be distorted beyond belief. The Nicholls one being a prime example. It’s hard for the average fan to even work out themselves! The only scope is signing a rider (like Nicholls) who is on a low rolling average but averaging higher on 2019 averages alone. And there aren’t many that fall into that category. Less scope than you think!

Why did it? Wasn’t Kildemand a ‘temporary fix’ for Holder last year? What’s different? And Holder wasn’t even in Poole’s ending line up last season!
-
Really? Where did you hear this? I’d be surprised if Jacob has been released.
-
So you can replace a rider with a +0.16, good luck with that. Or a combination of a couple of riders with a minuscule points plus. So not do what you want at all! If you had nearly a point difference you might just be able to make a difference. Anyway, time will tell if Morris remains in the Wolves 1-7 otherwise it’s yet another to limit your options.

I assume Shov means Morris. Morris wanted away from Swindon probably because the track had been terrible. Don’t know why he would want to go Poole then. But Of course everyone wants to ride for Poole. Harris has always loved a rough and dodgy track tho. It’s just the smooth fast ones he can’t ride well. Morris for who? Like for like remember. Well done, you did get a losing point assuming you can still qualify? Scott did a brilliant job replacing Brady. It’s a couple of the other flaky Pirates that had off nights as will happen all season long such is the way they are built. Good to hear the racing was much improved, but one good meeting doesn’t cure the flaws that exist with the Poole track. Have Poole qualified from their group or is it still open yet?

Scott is 0.04 below Nick so would fit. Unfair maybe as Scott has been pretty decent and adequate replacement. But not as a replacement for Jacob. The Nick Morris situation is a more worrying one. Another month of RR is going to demoralise the main body riders imho. If we can switch the temporary replacement for Morris and keep Nicholls till then would be the best situation. 1. Jacob fit and back riding is now a priority to bring back. 2. RR for Nick if a switch replacement isn’t allowed (not that there should be but hey this is British speedway so anything is possible). 3. Scott as temporary replacement for Morris. 4. Sign Scott for Morris if the injury situation is going to drag on. They are my priorities.

To be honest I didn’t look as just saw somebody posting he was riding in Sweden. Would have been insane if he was!

Sorry to hear your news, hope you’re feeling more comfortable soon. -
Did I read that Doyle rode in Sweden tonight? Can’t believe it if true!

Riders always had the choice. So I guess they stopped being made after a while. -
Must admit when I first read the news I’d assumed he was guesting not temporary replacement.

4.39 then.

Lay downs have been since the 80s, so they aren’t a new phenomenon. If you really believe that there was less strung out racing 30+ years ago then you need to take off your blinkers. Speedway has always had strung out heats in every match. This is certainly not something new just the nature of competition. -
Thorssell average too high.

Exactly. It’s like watching the traffic from an aeroplane!

You can’t see who is who from afar. Not a fan.

6.59 championship average, don’t know what that equates to?

It’s a shame the track that has been heralded as great so far has a very ordinary night on TV. The shape looks much better and clearly it needs more bedding in but this wasn’t very pretty viewing. Yet again riders jumping the start ruining it for the viewers both present and watching on a telly. How unprofessional are some of the Peterborough team with ultimately huge costly bike issues that cost the team victory. Hans and Rohan both very unprofessional. Panthers benefited greatly by 8 points from RR, points need to be used to replace Lasse whilst they can too. Swindon wanted to throw it away at the end and Ellis nearly cost the team points as well with another costly tape infringement. Wright was superb whilst Brady was brilliant. It’s a shame the new Abbey didn’t deliver tonight, let’s hope other live matches capture some magic. -

It’s funny how there are more injuries on the so called better tracks! -

I agree the replay from behind looks a little more tougher. Still think it’s an all 4 back decision but hey, that’s just an opinion. -

First bend bunching nothing more. Seen incidents like this many times. Like Shov says a racing incident and I’d assume no exclusion either? -
Poole v Belle Vue Thurs 2nd May 2019
stevebrum replied to SteveLyric2's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It doesn’t matter about comparing to other tracks. Track prep has been poor over recent seasons at a lot of tracks yet some seem to put more effort into it. Poole has been pointed out as being as being poor, this season ...... from there own fans. In this instance it doesn’t matter if other tracks are doing a worse job. One can only hope promotions put more effort into the riders stage.
