  1. 5 and a half isn’t a high average. Very overrated.
  2. In fairness very few are near the level of Freddie in the top flight anymore so a little unfair comparison. 6th best away average proves only 5 were better than him in all away matches last season. This year he didn’t step up to the standard of a number one, but ditto Morris, Kurtz Iversen, Cook etc. Absolutely, he has had the odd stinker away this year but on the whole fairly decent and certainly not drastic. With Thorssell we still have a solid look about the team. If we do sign Pawlicki assuming he is committed of course then it adds a whole different dynamic to the team. I’d have preferred Pawlicki instead of Schlein and also keep Jacob. We would extra points for final member. that said I’m more than happy with what we have so far and what’s likely. I haven’t seen a more solid side yet besides Peterborough.
  3. Correct, he doesn’t. Which was my point. Besides the odd poor meeting he has been decent value away the past few seasons now hence why the point acef made isn’t a valid one.
  4. It’s irrelevant where he ‘should be’ tho. He was. So your point doesn’t stack up. He has had several poor away performances as a Wolf but many top scoring as well. Besides Doyle and Lambert this year I don’t think one other rider other than Lindgren the year before had a good away record. so your point can apply to just about every other top end league rider.
  5. Jacob was 6th best away average overall in 2017 so not traditional at all.
  6. No. Riders have to have a minimum ‘earned’ 3 point average.
  7. Panthers, like Kings Lynn in the top flight and Mildenhall in the NL had a injury ravaged end to the season. I think all 3 would have won there titles if it weren’t for injuries.
  8. I found Woryna disappointing personally. Came on the back of a very successful season in Poland so was always going to make a mockery of that false low starting average.
  9. Certainly from the start of the season, end of season however is totally dependant on staying injury free and other teams strengthening up.
  10. Hence why I included Wolves in the quote! Obviously it’s all speculation and assumption that JT and Ash sign of course but on paper looking strong.
  11. Gotta agree on paper Panthers and Wolves both look extremely strong.
  12. Who? as for NBJ if he has an established top flight average that’s the one that should be used, otherwise it’s his championship multiplyer.
  13. I agree it’s not a very inspiring side.
  14. Common link in all 3 is Cook who it would seem isn’t liked by some. If true, I’m sure on the same side would mean less chances to fight on track.
  15. Post where you want Gavan, it’s allowed.
  16. I don’t get the comments that Lambert lacked back up this season. This is the team that finished top of the table!!! Iversen missing the play offs was a tragic blow, whilst he struggled at times I’d still put him and Lambert as a power pair in the big heats this season.
  17. Can’t see why Piotr shouldn’t keep his actual average from 2014, if you use the example of Szczpaniak at Poole this year as the example.
  18. Be interesting to see Lidsey ride and once dialled in will do well at home. Away maybe a struggle just like Etheridge did. Big ask for Bewley to be fit for start of the season. I certainly hope he is. a fairly decent side but need to view it against others when all announced.
  19. Holder and Kurtz as top 2 by the looks of it.
  20. Assuming the expected duo to fill the team then there is plenty of scope for improvement without an out an out number one (the option I’d still prefer). Rory I wouldn’t expect to improve but that’s about the only one. There is an argument that every other rider should be able to add a point or more to those starting averages. Big key would be Becker. He comes with a fair bit of hype although I’m not totally sold on how good he is at this stage but am more than happy to be proved wrong. If he does do ok then it’s safe to say that we will always have a strong reserve which should give us a very solid outfit all throughout the season. i can see senior reserve position switching a few times whilst the number one position likewise could be held by any of that top 4.
