It’s all about preference anyway. As none of this is relevant to the thread there is no point in continuing.

I’ve already given credit STR as I said Josh is having a good season in the 2nd tier. ive already disproved your home advantage theory so dress it up all you want, Kyle is a proven top flight second string more than capable of scoring home or away. His home and away averages already show that. I think riders that ‘despise’ going to Wolves are very much in the minority. Very few are vocal of disliking the track other than the obvious ones. Most riders generally like Wolves and as we have lost at home this season isn’t the massive advantage some like to paint. Howarth has had an injury hit season so making no excuses for him this season. It’s what he does at this level is the only valid argument that’s applicable.
-
How is it knocking him? Howarth has been ahead of Auty in the 2nd tier the past 2 seasons. Howarth has had a much tougher season all round this season. I am talking only about the top flight. Howarth is now a proven 2nd string at that level. The ‘massive home track advantage’ argument I see popped up again. Last year Kyles home and away average were pretty similar so that completely disregards that point of view. BTW. You seem happy to point out Kyle’s flaws but it’s knocking a rider when I point it out? I have no problem with Auty. If pointing out his inability to make it in the top flight is ‘having a problem’ then there is no hope of having a sensible discussion. Already said he is a fairly decent 2nd tier rider and is having a much better season at that level this year. Take a look at his current 2018 top flight average and his top flight career if you really want to make a sensible discussion of ur. Plus the Auty is better than Howarth argument offered by some is beyond childish (not your comment) but one I’ve read from others several times on here over the years.

Surprised to see Auty have a decent top flight score. His real average up to that point was under 3 (according to speedway star) so this pretty much must have been a one off. his top flight career has generally always been beyond mediocre. Entertainer and fairly decent 2nd tier rider at best.

Somerset v Poole Prem B. 20/8/18
stevebrum replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I thought the meeting at Somerset was a decent one to watch on the box. OK, it wasn’t a pass galore fest but the majority of the races were close with all 4 in contention. After the dire fest of the vast majority of meetings on BT before this has to rank as one of the best so far which perhaps says more about the rest. Somerset is generally one of the better racetracks in the country and always happy to visit when visiting family. Fair play to Garry May for admitting they prepared the track to stop Poole, nothing wrong in that and the racing was generally good. -
Let’s face it he has most definitely put himself in the shop window for a top flight place next year depending on rules and regulations. My opinion, for what it is worth, is he has outgrown the NL and is now too good for it and staying with it next season will only halt his progress. Tom has progressed a lot this year and looks much more assured and confident in his ability. For me he should be aiming at top 2 leagues next year, and hopefully the 2 leagues stay in place for this very reason. Think most Wolves fans would be happy to see him snapped up for 2019, no doubt they won’t be the only club interested.

A good meeting to watch on the box. Close racing made the meeting one of the best this season. Somerset way to easy tho, expected more from Poole tho. At least they contributed to a great night of racing. -
Pretty good guess, but I’d have said you were mad before the meeting tho! Great result for Wolves, Wednesday will determine if we make the top 4 however. Huge week.

Any more guesses

King's Lynn v Wolves 22/08/18 DOUBLE HEADER
stevebrum replied to Bagpuss's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
RR for both sides at number one will be a leveller. Stars should win both matches with comfort. -
Go troll somewhere else.

This big week couldnt get off to a worse start. A home loss tomorrow and I’d say it’s game over for the top 4. Swindon should be smelling points tomorrow. Can’t see a win now. Get well soon to both Rory and Nathan.

If Wolves want to be in the play offs we need to take the 8 points on offer. wont get a better chance. -

As Danish rider his Danish commitments take priority. As they should. -
Better to quote the true facts instead of making them up. That’s a poor performance from a number one so it looks like Belle Vue benefitted having a guest for Cook.
-
They were bang out of form last week and even more so Monday! They are the most in form team Of the past 48 hrs. So many teams in then out of form this season. Crazy.

Somerset vs Belle Vue Premiership 15/08/18

I doubt Sam designed it, think that was all Hemsley. I think Sam was asked to be on board but I don’t think he had much involvement. -

Always assumed it would be £25 which seems about right given that the 2nd half might not always be completed. £2 to high for my interest. -
The start of a big week for Wolves if we are to have any chance of breaking into the top 4. A home win is vital and ensure Swindon leave with nothing with the Wednesday matches at Kings Lynn turning into a must as far as getting points from. A home win is vital. Thoughts??

No one saw that coming. Bizarre how they fail at Leicester but succeed at Somerset! maybe they still have enough fight for the top 4? -

They were asked before but didn’t prove it. Truth probably is someone (who has no input to Bomber) suggested he will pull out. Bomber clearly said nothing of the sort as anyone who follows Bomber on Twitter will testify too. Made me look and there was no mention. So someone is spreading damaging rumours. -

This is all assuming Iversen will be back in 2019 of course and If he does no one will moan If he rides for the Stars. you can be sure if he misses a season whoever signs him the year after or onwards will be accused of signing a ‘ringer’ which was my whole point. ive no issue of having GP riders (either current, previous season and qualified for next season) being reassessed on a minimum 8 if they have an average lower than 8. We should expect that standard rider to be achieving that over here and should be used every season for team building. it makes and keeps things transparent and clear for all to understand. I like the idea of riders having missed a season here being reassessed using there European averages factored in. Something like previous British Average X Swedish average X Polish Average X any other National average and divided by the amount of leagues they race it. Extremely easy to apply but certainly won’t suit promotions who have a large asset base to call on. And yes I include Wolves (Woffy and Piotr) in that listing too. But maybe I’m still blind and can’t see the bigger picture. -
Nearly as many as Poole. Definitely strengthens them however. Has made some good progress this year. It’s always the younger reserves that get shafted too.

It was bumpy evident to anyone watching. Even Kelvin mentioned it.
