To whom it may concern. No apology required as I’m usually right in these matters.

No idea what it said as it’s mostly trash but every post usually involves trolling someone. It’s probably no wonder it was removed. Paranoia setting in I’d imagine. Nothing to do with me anyway. That person offends on a mass scale.

Somerset v Belle Vue KO Cup Semi Final 1st Leg 12.9.18
stevebrum replied to Aces51's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Any changes after the cut off date shouldn’t be allowed, irregardless of where they ride. Unless it’s a season ending injury ( that’s a proper season ending injury of course.) -
Glad you enjoyed it. Yes we are pretty close and I’m hoping that the links will be explored more next year with the possibility of the 2019 boys coming to our track for some racing! I have already started exploring new links with Lee so hopefully it won’t be the last time the Monarchs have a presence at Birmingham.

Absolutely. i think on the whole the ‘demo’ went ok and worked better on the centre green and fair play to some of the riders for having a go. we certainly had a few kids and parents showing interest so proof will be if they start to come down to our track! a regular feature you say? I’d happily be available to coach that

One of the rare breed of promotions who do actually promote!

Crowd was decent. Be interesting to hear what the Masons make of tonight if they judge it a success or not. as far as the management goes I wish them all the success they deserve, they work hard for it. They looked after us really well as guests of the club doing demonstration cycle speedway racing.

Good riddance too.

Belle Vue v Somerset PL 5th September, 2018
stevebrum replied to Aces51's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Track prep of course is key and the riders are always happy when a track is well prepared, regardless of the size. I didn’t take any offence at the irrelevant comment as I gathered what you meant by it. Monmore remains the sort of track that is great at mastering the art of throttle control which is still a key skill to being a well rounded rider. Whilst I agree with most of what you say my only slight disagreement is that you see bikes taking off and lifting violently on tracks of all sizes so of course it is a power issue and generally not rider error in those events. -

Good point. Bikes are way harder to ride and handle in recent years than say 20 years ago. Mostly track prep doesn’t move with the times. -

I’ve found some of them the same, or didn’t hot up until late into the meeting. Big tracks aren’t always ensuring of great racing. -

At least we got over 30 points which is a nice bonus considering home shockingly bad we have been away. The expected result and season over. -

Wolves IS a good race track. But stop trolling. The NSS is one of the best tracks in the world. Without question. Thought the 1st half of the match was pretty average with minimal passing but from heat 9 onwards wow, wow, wow. We are so lucky to have a track this good in the UK. -
Swindon v Belle Vue // Premiership // 6.9.18
stevebrum replied to ZagarRacing's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Totally agree. Jack has had a reality check this year with more pressure at number one for the Colts and just how tough Speedway can be by being let down badly by the 2nd tier teams. credit to Swindon for sticking with him. He isn’t there to score 3 or 4 points , that’s the job of the much stronger number 6. That’s what you get when you sign a 2 pointer, it gives more options higher up the team. had the pleasure of watching Jack in his first full year in the sport and has progressed rapidly since then. This year I agree he has stalled. In the top flight he doesn’t have many other NL standard riders to race against. I just hope he sees this as experience as that’s really all it is. -

They can still mathematically make it but don’t expect they will. -

Exactly! It’s almost like no one wants 1st pick tho. seems pretty easy to me, whoever finishes top will pick Belle Vue or Swindon who are by far the weakest of the other teams. just seems odd results happening this week.
