  1. It’s funny, how the ferocity of dislike has reached epic proportions over the recent years. Like you say it certainly adds for the drama. However the bad blood often stems from visiting Aces fans booing Wolves riders and cheering when they fall. I appreciate it’s probably the minority that spoil it on both sides but at Monmore we always get a decent match out of an Aces teams with several riders liking and doing well on the circuit. Anyway, as it’s a Stars thread I’ll leave it there.
  2. Some twisted forum users seem absolutely fine mocking others. Each to their own I guess.
  3. The irony of your post is laughable. Just to be clear if you were aiming it at me then I have no need for an apology. It was very simple logic. Glad it’s sorted. #sitsbackandwaitsformorepersonalvitriol.
  4. Decent meeting and some close racing with some class passing from the outgoing world champ.
  5. Hence the to whom it may concern part. You could have been aiming at several people such is your aggressive way of attacking posts. Anyway, like I said. I wouldn’t accept an apology anyway but delighted your trying to attack someone else’s post anyway. sorted.
  6. Big time Speedway catching out the Rebels. Poole have all the experience and making it count.
  7. To whom it may concern. No apology required as I’m usually right in these matters.
  8. No idea what it said as it’s mostly trash but every post usually involves trolling someone. It’s probably no wonder it was removed. Paranoia setting in I’d imagine. Nothing to do with me anyway. That person offends on a mass scale.
  9. Just goes to show that big tracks don’t always mean good racing. Tonight and Krsko proving that point.
  10. Any changes after the cut off date shouldn’t be allowed, irregardless of where they ride. Unless it’s a season ending injury ( that’s a proper season ending injury of course.)
  11. Glad you enjoyed it. Yes we are pretty close and I’m hoping that the links will be explored more next year with the possibility of the 2019 boys coming to our track for some racing! I have already started exploring new links with Lee so hopefully it won’t be the last time the Monarchs have a presence at Birmingham.
  12. Absolutely. i think on the whole the ‘demo’ went ok and worked better on the centre green and fair play to some of the riders for having a go. we certainly had a few kids and parents showing interest so proof will be if they start to come down to our track! a regular feature you say? I’d happily be available to coach that
  13. One of the rare breed of promotions who do actually promote!
  14. Crowd was decent. Be interesting to hear what the Masons make of tonight if they judge it a success or not. as far as the management goes I wish them all the success they deserve, they work hard for it. They looked after us really well as guests of the club doing demonstration cycle speedway racing.
  15. They should use foreign averages as a guide but never seem to have been factored in before. Except for the rumoured 9 for GP riders. However Vaculik graded as 8 should have been the bench mark. A strong patched up injury decimated side I think you mean!
  16. Im not convinced. He has been poor all year everywhere. Interesting comment, would be intriguing to see who it might have been. Heard Pawlicki (Piotr) was linked to come to Poole wether that would have been on his actual 7+ plus average or the reassessed 9 rumoured for GP standard riders.
  17. How so Steve? Holder was scheduled to ride at the start of the year and wouldn’t have been number one either and on form I doubt he would have taken the number 1 mantle. thought Kurtz was always the ‘one over 8 rider’ this season or did I miss something?
  18. Looks like you will have plenty of posts to quote then. Busy, busy busy.
  19. Track prep of course is key and the riders are always happy when a track is well prepared, regardless of the size. I didn’t take any offence at the irrelevant comment as I gathered what you meant by it. Monmore remains the sort of track that is great at mastering the art of throttle control which is still a key skill to being a well rounded rider. Whilst I agree with most of what you say my only slight disagreement is that you see bikes taking off and lifting violently on tracks of all sizes so of course it is a power issue and generally not rider error in those events.
  20. Good point. Bikes are way harder to ride and handle in recent years than say 20 years ago. Mostly track prep doesn’t move with the times.
  21. I’ve found some of them the same, or didn’t hot up until late into the meeting. Big tracks aren’t always ensuring of great racing.
