Not really surprised that it is Lewis - who else was there? With all due respect to Bjarne, he is in the twilight of his career and his signing focused on the immediate short term. Lewis has several advantages - younger, British, has worked with Jon Cook in the past and they know each other well. Additionally, he now has the benefit of team backing to further his undoubted talent on a speedway bike.If his head is in the right place then he will be very effective, especially at home.

If it isn't Lewis Bridger, then we have about 8.85 points available. If it is, then about 2 points under the limit. The first is purely statistical, whereas the second is , sadly, most likely.

Reading the Lakeside statement carefully, there are at least 5 fixture clashes re Bjarne.

That is the most likely scenario although it is not really that 'available points efficient' Tracking Lewis, and given that AJ and BP are certs, then it would be one only of Kim, Richard or Eddie (most likely Kim). The only way we could track all three of the latter would be with no AJ or PS!

I did not think the 'forum' was an official one (there was never a link in place from the Club's website) but, whatever, it has been 'officially' closed down. Personally, I do not accept the 'official reason' for the closure - I think there is more to it than that.

The Poole v Lakeside meeting was not, from memory, cancelled on the day and the opposition were not at the track as they were at Belle Vue.. I am not sure what BWitcher is inferring that Lakeside should have done - perhaps a futile appearance with bikes ready to race!! The fault on this one lies firmly on the 'Authorities' not Lakeside.

Whatever 'cock-ups' the powers that be have made in the past, it does at least appear, that the infamous 'Heatleader List' was arrived at in 'democratic' fashion!

Another fine mess! Certainly, injudicious remarks by JC (if accurately quoted) and a 'provoking' thread title by SCB. The difference being, perhaps, that JC was not specifically insulting a named individual - whereas JCB has posted potentially libellous comments in the public domain. I have been following speedway long enough to be immune to the actions of promoters and just concentrate on watching four blokes give it their all on an oval circuit.

Both the 'shape' and length were changed although it is now a similar length to the 1991 track save for the inside of the corner approaches and exits being taken in somewhat.

The track has changed somewhat since BK used to ride it!

The press release on the BSPA website did use the word 'select' which infers a draft rider.

The absence of 'names' (until now) has baffled me given that 'announcements' have already been made with regard to AJ, Kim, Eddie and Robert.

That really would be a step backwards.
