  1. Having a team named after the stadium they raced in never really did it for me. New name new identity.
  2. We may not know our septet yet but at least we know what they will be wearing. http://www.lakesidehammers.co/vortex-hammers-unveil-new-look-for-2016/
  3. And it also says the Programme Editor position was a 'holiday job'
  4. 'accept' is the word you are looking for!
  5. Surely we weren't considering getting our fingers burnt for the third time with KK.
  6. It is strange that there are no confirmed signings appearing against Lakeside on the SpeedwayGB website!
  7. When you make a comment like that you need to back it up with something other than your opinion.
  8. I don't believe it offers any more in the way of home advantage than other tracks do. There are plenty of riders who have scored handsomely on their first visit.
  9. I do not believe it will be a case of third time lucky for KK as far as the Hammers are concerned.
  10. I find it strange that Craig Cook made no mention of Belle Vue when commenting about only riding in one UK league!
  11. To have too many riders 'commuting' from the continent would be financially draining. Personally, I don't expect more than a maximum of three!
  12. Great news. Now for title winning team!
  13. If Hammers run in 2016, then AJ is already committed to them.
  14. There is an 'update' on the Hammers Website (for what it is worth) re ongoing negotiations and, perhaps, the most poignant comment concerns Stuart Douglas' commitment to 'Essex'. http://www.lakesidehammers.co/hammers-latest-update/
  15. Given what transpired yesterday evening, it goes without saying that the 'appeal' will NOT result in two points being deducted. The possibility of Newman overtaking at least one of the opposition will be cited as the reason for not deducting any points. As others have said, this could, and should have been put to bed prior to the 2nd leg and the fact that it wasn't has tainted an otherwise enthralling final.
  16. That is a very convenient way of not having to deal with the 'track inspection' that never happened prior to the running of Heat 10.
  17. Creditable show from a four and a half man team (Kim Nilsson far from match fit) and given 'our reserves' effectively meant we started with -8, to lose by only two points was no mean feat on the night. From where I was the AJ exclusion was contentious but, given that the same referee thought James Sargeant 'moved' off 15 metres at KL a couple of days ago, perhaps not surprising.
  18. I find it impossible to believe we could not fit in our last EL home meeting on a date that ensures we put out a decent team rather than one comprising of a couple of sacrificial lambs at reserve (no disrespect to the riders named). This will be a very poor end to the season and possibly the Hammers too.
  19. Whoever is in charge, they are not telling us the team line-up for Friday - poor show.
  20. Sounds like another masterpiece of fixture planning.
  21. There cannot be much more annoying than scoring 46 'genuine' points away from home and still losing!
  22. If only the SCB were as rigorous in pursuing ALL contraventions of the regulations as they were in this case!
