Lakeside V Swindon 16 Sept 2016
TonyE replied to Speedwaycrazy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
According to Mr Rossiter - the track was atrocious and nothing to do with the weather and - it was also like that on his team's previous visit - all in the match report on Robins' website. Words fail me - what was atrocious was the performance of a few of his so called professional speedway riders. -

I would think that is irrelevant in the present context. -
Maybe Lakeside should do a 'Poole' and get Greg over - he was, after all, involved in the 'incident'.

Covering for AJ is not going to be easy - a major headache for Jon Cook. If Swindon get the point they need at Belle Vue, it would certainly take the pressure off the Hammers vis-à-vis the meeting on 16th.

Another Week Without Elite League Speedway On Sky!
TonyE replied to Shale Searcher's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Sanity prevails and the Lakeside v Swindon meeting remains as planned. Monday was never viable with both No. 1's likely to be missing and Kim Nilsson all involved in Swedish play-offs. -

Belle Vue V Lakeside Wed 3rd August

I believe AJ's absence was probably known much earlier than the time previously mentioned. Kelvin said something about learning he (AJ) couldn't travel i.e. catch his flight so work backwards from that! -

The farce that is EL speedway nowadays. -
So much fuss about something that is done and dusted. Perhaps it is not so much about no rule being broken but more a case of no existing rule being applicable i.e. the circumstances where a 'facility' is available are detailed in the regulations and the situation regarding Adam's absence did not fit any of them. Hence, we have a situation where it is possible to state that 'no rule has been broken' on the one hand whereas, on the other, no circumstances where a facility is available appertain. The authorities, quite rightly in my opinion, went for the latter.

We look forward to having him back at Lakeside next year!

Really hope a video of Heat 1 makes it on to the SpeedwayGB website - one of the best races I have ever seen at Arena.

Matt Fords Vision For The Elite League In 2017.
TonyE replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Cannot comment on 6 man teams but as far as Fridays go, it is a proven fact that meetings on any other week day suffer a decrease in attendance. Similarly, attendance at anything other than meaningful league fixtures produce the same result. JC is doing no more than emphasising the issues that affect the viability of the Hammers as an EL club. Who has put forward both constructive and viable (for clubs generally, rather than their own) alternatives? -
The Robins tracking three guests (Bjarne Pedersen, Stuart Robson and Robert Brandford) and R/R - another scintillating meeting coming up!

The answer is that I don't know. He has parted company with 'Revolution' and someone told me he had reverted to GM engines. -

Freddie looked extremely ordinary tonight (perhaps he was bored) - almost to the point of disinterested. Now that Lewis Kerr has switched back to GM's - his performance has improved considerably and will probably improve even more when he gets his set up perfected for his 'new' engine. All of the Hammers' top four seemed to be on fire tonight with Kim Nilsson looking majestic. Sounds as if our No. 8 may get some outings, at home in the meetings to come. The Wolves reserve pairing were good value for money. -
The crowd will almost certainly be down but by how much compared to having to race on an 'off' night - who knows? On the plus side:- - another 3 points collected - another fixture completed - the team get track time after a month break from their last home meeting
