Scorpions v Sheffield 27.07.2018 7.30pm

It just goes from bad to worse with our injuries. Will we ever have our own 1 to 7 before the season ends? -
Scorpions vs Diamonds - 08.06.18 19.30
scunny1 replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Tero was just about to be swallowed up by both Scorpions when he punctured ,so don't think Diamonds would have got their point anyway. All in all a good show by both teams. "Expect an announcement tomorrow" they said at the after meet conference- Stevie back in the team from next week??? -
Scorpions vs Lakeside 25.5.18

Weather forecast looks pretty poor, might be an early call off anyway. Gutted for Stefan who was having a great season up till then, and such a nice lad too. Just love his one liners at the after meeting conferences, very funny and cutting. Get well soon. -

If you thought that meeting was so good you must have wet your pants with excitement last night at the Scunthorpe return match. -

Oh my word , now that was a good meeting with passing a plenty. Well done to all riders for putting on a great show. Good to see Steve Worrall looking so well at the end of meeting conference, hopefully back mid June ish??? -
Sheffield v Scorpions SGBCS 19/04/18 @ 19.30

I must have been at a different meeting to everyone fawning how good the racing was. For me ,much was from the gate and over by bend 2. From heat 11, Scorpions self destructed and hugely disappointed so much so I was on the Parkway by the time heat 15 started . -
Scunthorpe Scorpions 2018
scunny1 replied to IronScorpion's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
As others have said Phillips is a much better bet. We want to see 7 potential race winners in the team ,not 6and a rookie.Sod's Law will say someone will get injured and then a non performing rookie is a liability. -

What Would You Change In Speedway Next Season?
scunny1 replied to 4thbender's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Change league names back to Elite and Premier- seeing as that's how most supporters and presenters still talk of them both. -

Toft being demoted from Captain in recent weeks says it all- he is already decided as a definite no for next year. -
Jake, Josh A and Ryan played their part, were the rest of them trying to lower their averages for future employment elsewhere? With Duffy on the infield microphone, it was clear to all Rob was not a happy camper with the team effort either! A meeting thrown away again, at least 4 new faces next year I predict and Friday night racing please.

Excellent result, who would have bet on a 5-1 win for heat 15 on our away form?. -
Rob Godfrey runs Stockcars to make money to keep his beloved Speedway running. Speedway will survive at the EWR no doubt about it, as Rob is so passionate about this sport. He is not under the influence of landlords and can run events when he wants. We are not having the best season but the racing is still superb on an excellent track. I for one prefer a settled night track to a 5.30 afternoon meeting with the varying track conditions.
