If you thought that meeting was so good you must have wet your pants with excitement last night at the Scunthorpe return match.

Oh my word , now that was a good meeting with passing a plenty. Well done to all riders for putting on a great show. Good to see Steve Worrall looking so well at the end of meeting conference, hopefully back mid June ish???

I must have been at a different meeting to everyone fawning how good the racing was. For me ,much was from the gate and over by bend 2. From heat 11, Scorpions self destructed and hugely disappointed so much so I was on the Parkway by the time heat 15 started .

As others have said Phillips is a much better bet. We want to see 7 potential race winners in the team ,not 6and a rookie.Sod's Law will say someone will get injured and then a non performing rookie is a liability.

That's what I like about this forum, you ask a civil question and you get hostile responses from individuals who have no intention of going to the function. Personally I eat meat, but two others interested in going are vegetarians.

Conversely, tickets could be admission only and pie and peas preordered as per previous evening. Why should vegetarians pay extra for unwanted items?

Are you for real comparing a Redcar and Scunthorpe crowd to a big city like Glasgow crowd base. I would have thought with the population within a 20mile radius of Glasgow, plus travelling fans, the crowd would be at least 20 times as big!

Rob Godfrey runs Stockcars to make money to keep his beloved Speedway running. Speedway will survive at the EWR no doubt about it, as Rob is so passionate about this sport. He is not under the influence of landlords and can run events when he wants. We are not having the best season but the racing is still superb on an excellent track. I for one prefer a settled night track to a 5.30 afternoon meeting with the varying track conditions.

Did not say he was just a gater. After watching both brothers over several seasons around the EWR going from wobblers to good riders, in my opinion Steve is a better gater, but Richie is the more entertaining racer.

Well we won the toss and that was about all. A pretty dire performance on the road again.

Always like watching Kyle myself, fast, stylish and fair rider. The guests make Diamonds stronger around the EWR, with Richie the overtaking Worrall, rather than his gating brother. It should be a close contest with probably the reserves making the biggest diference.

Home advantage? Then the Scunny pair will walk this.
