  1. If it’s Shamek he finished on 6.75 when he was last here with Poole in ‘14. if it’s Piotr I think was around 7.30 in the same year. Edit-Presume you meant Lampart? If so my guess is a 5?
  2. He's a really good signing, the rest of the team just looks a poor use of a higher limit. Getting him at reserve to start with Cook or Brennan dropping there after the first set is great, if you can get riders in to win heats 1,13 &15.Which I don't see happening from the rumours. Pawlicki and Laguta to finish would make the side look a lot different but if it is Zagar and Schlein as expected then it will be a long old season in the midlands

  4. God I miss those wet, baltic Sundays in Jan. How they managed to get the track to stand up to some of the conditions still baffles me to this day.
  5. Of course he is! New baby and no sleep in a week, I had to do the maths 5 times, didn't even think to check if he was elsewhere!
  6. Would Shamek come in on his last Poole average of 6.75? Looking at the 2024 confirmed thread, they have 22.59 left - if Shamek is 6.75 then Tarasenko 6.94 and Laguta 8.43 could fit with him. Would be one of the strongest in the league but would cost a pretty penny.
  7. Really not the kind of side I’d associate with the new owners. Even with a lower limit Starke and Complin should never be in the same side in 2024. I was expecting a newcomer with plenty of potential on a 4 over Starke.
  8. He did and will put on a decent show and can't knock his effort. But, he hasn't been very trustworthy to see out a full season of late From the reserves announced so far, Joe T is definitely the strongest no7! Piper, James, Hagon, Trigger, Harrison, McGurk he beats 9/10 for me. Then you will have either Bowtell, Gilkes or Dan T at reserve with him. At home they should be very hard to beat and will take some bettering away too. Agree on Rowe - just going off the rumours on here that they are the final three. The way other teams have shaped up so far, I'm not sure where else those two would go
  9. Would see Barker and Rowe in the big heats against Harris&Worrall/ King&Wright/ Nicholls&Masters, Lawson&Brennan or the Cooks. Scary thought, especially away from home
  10. He is but lives in Italy with his Italian wife and young family. He didn''t like travelling before the family came along so I can't see him back now. Would be a great signing on a 7 at Plymouth though. Going with Rowe, Newman and Gilkes as the last 3 with just Barker as a known HL is very risky but would mean 2 strong reserves all year - is that enough to compensate for his 13&15?
  11. Only good thing about him coming back would be the BSN commentary from roynon at Plymouth meetings.
  12. I think it’s the mountain signing that jumps out for me the most. I expected a 4 pointer out of no where like Blodorn was to fill that other reserve spot. I guess the hope is that Blodorn kicks on and Cook establishes himself as that no4 heat leader. Tough ask.
  13. So cook and mountain in for wright and Brennan? They look weaker to me
  14. Completely agree, Crumpy was with him at most meetings and would have expected his experience to have had a word at some point. Unless he was ignored, heard Lambert has changed his team completely this year. I wonder if anyone in the team will help with that side of his meetings
  15. That feels awfully expensive for a first season at this level!
  16. He isn't the only one but it feels a lot more noticeable with Dan. Him and Lambert were bullied out of semi & final spots too many times this campaign.
  17. Sounds way too progressive, informative and forward thinking for anyone involved in speedway promotion!
  18. Could it just be that Tolley has asked Rogers for help as he used him so many times as a guest in the last few years, they must have a good working relationship
  19. I’m just putting history and low points together. I wouldn’t go near him after last year but he would fill a gap in that 2/6 spot at a track he goes reasonably well at.
  20. Riss not in with a shout to return on his low average? Had a decent year there in ‘21
  21. Surely they can’t go with Hume again? Threw away so many vital points. if Jenkins is an option that fits, he’s a must
  22. I thought Boughen would have been in at Sheffield after all the guest bookings this year but seems silly not to use him in both (or all 3 leagues!). Jenkins at 6 would give more room for a power house top 5 assuming he would get the 25% reduction Brennan etc got last year for moving out of the RS position
