  1. Smolinski back to Brum? Wouldn’t be surprised to see Paco as no6 and them somehow have Pearson as RS
  2. Bomber will be thrilled, he’ll make a fortune
  3. Unfortunately have to agree. They seem to have built up quite a strong fan base but to put premiership and championship in front of them feels very naive. Really hope I’m wrong!
  4. Who knows anymore! Given he was there this year it would make sense for next year. not sure who else they’ll bring in. will be an interesting side
  5. Feels mad given how new they are, or newly back should I say. guess Masters and Flint will be their first 2
  6. Birmingham confirmed in the top level. Oxford confirmed all three!! https://oxfordspeedway.club/2023/11/oxford-speedway-confirm-sensational-return-to-the-premiership-as-oxford-spires-the-citys-newest-professional-sports-club/
  7. Dan Thompson will have certainly learned more this year than he would have last year riding alongside messers Morris and Worrall!
  8. The announcement states 10 rounds, probably tells you all you need to know about improvements if they can't even count what has previously been written! Probably given the Poles an extra round to appease them after the toys out of the pram when Zmarzlik was banned from Vojens. Zmarzlik 4/6 on Skybet for WC should be 1/10
  9. That makes more sense to be fair! Agree that where ever he goes on his current average feels like a bargain!
  10. Haven't been there since Mads K's testimonial so I'm probably way off, just based on the moaning on here that the racing isn't what it was! Scunthorpe feels a better fit for the type of rider he is, in my mind. If I was Godfrey then he'd be top of the list if I'm moving up along with Douglas.
  11. Toft, Douglas and Lambert staying would be a decent start to be fair. Could that be where Harris is off if they do move up, I really don't see him at Lynn the way that the track has been so slick over the last few years. Throw in Steve Worrall would leave about 10 points for a no1?
  12. I'd hazard a guess there are only a few ways cocaine can get into your system and very few of those are inadvertently. He isn't really a 'young man', he's in his 30's and has been a 'professional sportsman' for almost 2 decades- it isn't a silly mistake - he should know better! and you can't seriously compare standing on a stage miming to jumping on a 60mph bike with no breaks with 13 other blokes? Give your head a wobble.
  13. Some horrendous injuries, scary reports of a suspected stroke, thankfully ruled out. Speedway takes a back seat on those ones, back to full health is all that matters before even thinking of throwing a leg over a bike again.
  14. That year he rode the Welsh Open, never seen anyone ride Newport like that. Especially in their first lap.
  15. Plenty every year unfortunately. He's just an example from today. As teams start to get released it will be interesting to see how heavy some go
  16. Rowe being the prime example, with the rumoured reduction he could start as a third heat leader but he's no where near that in reality yet. Dropped by Poole and don't really see where else he will end up in the CL
  17. Especially when you could get Hume back for less than 5 - providing Redcar don't keep him of course!
  18. Starke last rode more than 2 meetings for Poole in 2017, since then he's only gone one way and looked a shadow of himself at times last year and this. That ill fated season at Newcastle did him no favours. Lot of time for him but if he is the answer the only question what's left to fit in until we can change something. Nielsen '21 and wasn't too bad but some very bad injuries regularly 3.85 (+reduction) is a gamble but if you need a 3 pointer I'd stick with Thompson - if possible!
  19. Surely Nielson or Starke will be no where near Poole next year. Both struggle to complete a season injury free and are only on the decline.
  20. Ruml, Nicol, Knudsen also available under 6. Unless they can unearth a gem on a 5, those two make them very top heavy but can't see them both going unless Nicholls hangs up his steel shoe!
  21. Replacing Swales is probably going the be the biggest task given how lauded the track has been since he's been there
  22. Doesn't seem to end the season like he's making plans for the next either
  23. Wasn't that one of Pickering's reasons for leaving Edinburgh though? Pickering and the Cook's as 1,3&5 for Poole? I say it every year but how Douglas hasn't gone down there with the Ward connection I'll never know. His average is way too high now but it always seemed the right fit.
  24. Hence the otherwise it will be a long tail! experience wise, he’s behind a lot of riders who will probably get an RS classification
