  1. Really hope he's back on these shores again next year. Every time I've seen him he seems to get better. Great style and so much speed. Still a bit surprised he isn't in the top league in Poland Commentators curse there as he's now down as R/R after getting injured in Poland!
  2. Usually some of the better ones do, especially on the continent! Riss brothers had a track in their back garden, a lot of the Aussies have too. let’s not even talk about the golden boy Zmarzlik, I can’t imagine he’s had to actually buy a bike in his life.
  3. Given Vatcher's history in dragging these kids half way around Europe and not giving them a sniff at a heat when named as reserve I would have done the same thing.
  4. Not a clue and if that was his justification then Kemp or Gilkes would be reserve not Edwards!
  5. We bought tickets with cash in the ticket office (top floor of the WRU gift shop) on Westgate street, have bought them on the day since the second staging. Yes it is electronic entry, but the physical tickets have a QR code on them as well.
  6. “British Under-21 Champion Connor Bailey was also amongst the riders considered; however, after he turned down opportunities to represent Great Britain in the recent FIM Speedway of Nations 2, and to ride in the British Final, the decision was taken to select Anders and Jason.” CARDIFF LINE-UP COMPLETE – British Speedway Official Website
  7. Surely you get a confirmation email once purchased that confirms the tickets will appear in the app/wallet before the event?
  8. Surely Brennan beating Lawson when they met and no last place means he gets the last spot?
  9. And people wonder why the top guys jump off the bike! You shouldn't have to fall off to have a re run, can't just ride through people
  10. Could be a blessing in disguise so they can move to get a proper line up for the restaging - which is highly doubtful! Would imagine it'll mean Brennan as WC for Cardiff if it doesn't go ahead
  11. Bailey doesn't appear to be named in the Wroclaw u24 side for this afternoon so unless he's already out there with the anticipation he would have been riding, not including him is a joke
  12. They are starting to get boring, that line hadn't worked in two meetings! 9/1 on Freddie made it even more galling ridiculous decision from Woffy to start half a yard away from the tapes, only he knows what was going on there.
  13. It was going to be an uphill task. the British lads out there are getting plenty of Polish experience but can't translate it onto the track. Gilkes first ride was fantastic but then ended up in a battle with Rowe for third in his last few races and seemed to lack a bit of speed and was naively coming in too wide. Rowe should have scored a lot more than he did, he was the fastest out there in his first 4 rides but his style doesn't seem to allow him to go around anyone, especially on the tighter tracks like Riga. Kemp.... not sure how many GB chances he gets. Decent form for Leicester but very poor away from that. Not picking your u21 champion is baffling and agree with a lot of the comments on Vatcher. No doubt he does a lot for the younger lads but should be no where near managing at this level. The whole point in two TMs should be top look after both teams, like DK with Moller and Pedersen.
  14. If he’s worried about not beating Bewley he hasn’t beaten him anywhere since 2018 at Poole! One has kicked on just a little and one has gone backwards. If there were qualifiers he’d probably moan he wasn’t in one at Leicester! Is Hume the best choice? Why isn’t the u21 champ automatically in it? Especially when Schlien is.
  15. Gilkes falling for the oldest trick in the book! Should have been at least a 5-4 there
  16. I'm looking forward to seeing who's on Welsh comms for it. Their review is better than anything Wales Online have ever put together Press | S4C
  17. Has Charles Wright signed for Wroclaw or is that just a rumour on Polish speedway Twitter?
  18. Still, after 25 years, about not being able to find set ups.
  19. Yes same as Doyley and the Holders. IOW had a good stream of young Aussies when they were in the second division. Adam Shields, Gathercole and Sweetman all started there too I think
  20. As I said before I can never remember him being released mid season but he's happy to pick up every guest booking under the sun within his well calculated average each year. Smacks of a lack of self awareness - his loyalty to British speedway is only because he was never good enough to make Poland work full time. Although I'd imagine it's more his other half doing the talking and his mouth just moving!
  21. Is this the first time he's been bombed out mid season? I certainly can't remember it happening in the top league anyway. I know there were a few changes pre season around covid that saw him move teams but all before a wheel was turned. Finally a victim of the numbers game he plays so well each year to ensure maximum guest bookings and is about to kick off. That being said, he shouldn't be the one making way for the poor decision to sign Batch for Morris.
