But he has Abi and Scott for that kind of stuff and they don't seem to provide it either. Football is probably considered the gold standard in that they have the resource to pull in all kinds of real time data, so whilst perhaps a tad harsh, the basics aren't there for Speedway. There are plenty of armchair stattos that I imagine would gladly give up a few hours on a Sunday evening to prepare such a 'pack/guide' for Kelvin but he appears to not want to take on that role and is happy giving the absolute bare minimum. That is the perception that's given off to me and it doesn't do anything to help the sport's profile.

That and everyone's been going well on the continent when in fact they're really struggling winds me up no end. It takes 2 minutes to have a read through the Polish results on a Monday morning before a TV meet to throw some colour and insight into things. Unless its Erik Riss and his long track achievements he hasn't a clue what's going on. I've never watched a football match where the commentators don't know anything about a player on the pitch.

I hadn't seen him properly but he was certainly impressive. Especially when he almost lost it. Must say Ingram impressed me as well but seemed to run out of steam, he was very aggressive

Presumably Rushen is nailed on for the RS after Louis being his mentor last night? Did I hear he turns 16 in March?
-
Is Peter Mole still involved there?

He also hit one at Stoke going up the hill a little too fast after a bad race! What a boy

Also begs the question, if everyone knew this would happen, why was this the first set of play off's to be staged with two riders going for podium places in the GP 2 days later, with a poor forecast. Decision was announced 3 days after the last GP round so it wasn't a surprise that 2 of the Belle Vue team would be up for some serious silver wear 2 days later

Old factory site is interesting - what's the track in the US that appears to be in a factory? I'm sure it was used in the background of the True Detective series? Could that be an option (proper air extraction included of course) for the UK? Sound proofed walls and a filtrations systems wonder if anyone has ever explored that idea

Great stuff! There were a few pictures of the back straight at Newport and I don't ever remember it being that busy but it was packed out!

Not quite on the same lines as the other posts but I bought some photo's off Vinted from Newport that were taken on the corner I used to stand with my old man after a few too many sherbets last week. The lady kindly put in a host a of old programmes that her uncle had left, opened the package at my old mans and they turned out to be his old programmes dating back to the early 70s and up to 2004. He'd sold them on just after Newport closed and I've somehow managed to get them back. Great Sunday afternoon reminiscing over lunch

Someone on here this week referred to Fricke and Kurtz as modern day Adams and Crump and it’s one of the best comparisons I’ve seen on here in years. Brady’s got that killer instinct, what a ride from gate 2

A assume Beau Bailey the young Aussie that's been doing well in the SGP3 the last few years. Thinks you're referring too Connor Bailey that was at Glasgow and Redcar.

As Panther and BaldBloke have said it must have been Swaffham, that makes more sense!

Didn't Alex Brady try to buy Northampton but got told it was too close to Lynn/Ipswich?

Sedgman or Kerr?
