Ipswich Witches 2024 serious team predictions
DJC replied to SuperStarsFan91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Has he ever won a cup or league with the club he's declared for? He seems to ride in every final/semis but always as a guest. Surely some sort of record. -
Another great Cardiff event, same old faces moaning about it, but appears they didn't go! Everyone that went enjoyed it. Watching it back there were a few more passes than I remembered and the racing was pretty close. Great to see a British 1&2 and I think the only cheer that got close to the final was Zmarzlik coming last. Brennan desperately unlucky on the line but shown how far he's come in the last 12 months or so. Didn't really see/hear a lot of the semi stuff but had met up with some old friends so we were talking in between races and missed most of the announcements. Of course I'm bias as it's only a 15 min train journey for me to get there but it would be a travesty for it to leave Cardiff, it was a little quieter than usual in the bars but more went to the fan zone the general atmosphere was fantastic as always. Racing is coming back and it will always be one of the more processional, as the majority of GPs have been over the years, You can't moan about the value for money, a world championship round for £15. A personal highlight was seeing the Red Bull team giving out free cans to the people queued up to get an autograph from the Woffy outside the stadium. Fantastic bit of marketing.

Which is perfectly fair, I enjoyed watching Pickering and it felt like he was in every race after it slickened off.
-
haha that did cross my mind, but even when they do get it right they can't do it!

His lack of research on speedway flabbergasts me every week. However, he will not hesitate to mention Riss or Harris' exploits on the weekend in the longtrack. I say it every week but how after all this time are they still not showing the riders scores throughout the meeting, bar at the start line? For all Phil's rallying cries to promote the sport, they need to look within first. All the good stuff he's brought in is dragged kicking and screaming back to where it was by the amateur production package. After the first few it wasn't the worst meeting I've seen, Pickering is the kind of rider Ipswich need next year to push on, King and Ellis are too conservative

Brennan has been flying most places until this week. Hopefully hasn't burnt himself out before today/tomorrow -
He did! Came second didn't you?
-
Rowe replaces Worrall then

Kings Lynn vs Leicester - Monday 5th August

I took it as signing a newbie for next year - using as guests makes more sense. Haven't had a brew yet! -

Who though? The only fully 'untried' in the lower league are Borke, Hook, Fredriksen, T Thomsen or Pearson Then only really Kye Thomsen, Pacoo, Batch or Allen that don't have a top place but all bar Batch I think would push the Pole into the 1-5/ Or Kemp but again would push the Pole up. -
He's having the similar season to Danny King last year. Was paired with a rider not as good as him so was always going to score a point at least until the harder rides so average appears to have gone up but they aren't really beating anyone of note. But for Flint the lower average riders he's easily beating in the championship he can't seem to get near in the prem.

what @szkocjasid said! Not having a full 7 when they have the chance is ridiculous
-
Dropping and not replacing isn't what the question was about? It was can you drop someone and replace them when you have an injured rider and leave the injured one in the declared 7 - which as the dates show, Oxford did. My 'theory' is based on my opinion that you shouldn't do the above and they should have been made to use Riss for Kerr, not Klindt.
-
I got Riss and Cook mixed up but green sheets shows Riss for Klindt effective 18/4- Kerr broke his ankle on the 11th April. They rode at Ipswich on the 18th with Nicholls and Clouting guested Nicholls guested for Ker on the 25th April vs Kings Lynn Cook then came in for Kerr 1st May and made his debut at Sheffield. So in theory, the change should have been Riss for Kerr on the 18th as he was the injured rider.
-
They dropped Klindt when Kerr was injured and signed Cook to replace Klindt didn't they?
-
Oxford have and possibly Kings Lynn
-
It was no different to a large amount of passes in the SON - none were questioned. He lifted and gained control quick enough to stop the accident - Lampart quick enough to also help prevent it. IF anything was questionable last night (bar the commentary) it was Howarth's pass on Flint, but again that was due to him picking up and lifting coming out of the corner.

Speedway of Nations 2024
DJC replied to a4poster's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I've been thinking similar this season, the 'production crew' seems to have trebled but the actual product feels like its been significantly diluted. Perhaps they weren't as visible in the past or were better at going unnoticed but there seems to be someone stood around doing nothing with a WBD shirt on in every shot. -
Surely Lightcap is the better option, especially long term. I like Gino but he's more accident prone than Kerr
-
All of the changes so far have just felt like cost cutting. they won’t change the reserves at this stage and the Riss connections have been heavily discussed so it’s only really wright or Harris that would go and unless it’s Zmarzlik/Vaculik coming in there isn’t any point to those
-
He came back way too quick from those bad breaks. As much stick Plymouth get for Kennett gate they've not had much luck with all the no1's they've signed recently have getting pretty badly hurt . Unless R Worrall makes a comeback I can't see him being replaced.
-
As probably anticipated, Covatti out for the season.
-
Didn’t expect him to do it but KIillen would have been the first call I would have made in Lemons place. Don’t ask don’t get and all that! Mulford makes sense as he’s the perfect replacement for Bailey

I read it more like Lynn will close and the licence would be transferred to Swaffham. -
