World Championship Pairs
Daniel Smith replied to Mark's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Didn't think any pairs meeting could possibly be worse than a Monster v Fogo sponsors meeting. This new SON format is the worst possible. I still can't get my head past "what's the point of Friday?" Does Friday have any relevance to what goes on on Saturday or not -
Kings Lynn Vs Somerset: Wed : 30-05-2018
Daniel Smith replied to g13webb's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
That's true but they'll never really know if the promotion worked or becausee it's just school holidays. They'll need to run the promotion on a school week to see if incentives like that really work or if it's just wasted money so to speak. -

No idea how old Drew Kemp is but his NL scoring has been really really good too -

It's not about losing, it's not about the management being nice etc etc. Andersen has had 6 matches and only averaging 2.60. That's shouldn't be acceptable. His scoring has been to the standard of a rider from the NL, that can't be denied. IMO Josh Bailey should be given a crack. If we can afford to carry a 2.5 point rider 100% Josh Bailey should be in. -

That's him. He certainly would have a better average than Andersen's 2.60. -

Andersen's average is 2.60. Pretty much any Championship rider could better that. As for a name, Carl Wilkinson would better a 3 point average -

Andersen has to go, someone on the same average from the Championship would score much better. It won't happen though as we're a very nice team -

Cook's form against the big guns hasn't been great. On Tuesday he'll get his first ride, if it's a duff one Lambert will ride the rest of the meeting. -

Allow your No1 to take time out for surgery, 0 points earned from 2 meetings. A lesson to be learnt I'd say -

That's interesting as Thomas Jorgensen is in his Danish side for tonight's fixture Edit: Scrap that, miss interpretation -
The thing that seems to be missed is that Harris shouldn't be riding in the Championship anyway. I'm ok with British rider's doing both Premiership and Championship but they then shouldn't sign contracts abroad. In my opinion, if a British rider signs contracts in Poland they should not be allowed a Championship contract. The BSPA should put in place that Championship rider's cannot sign contracts abroad. If contracts are signed abroad they can only participate in the Premiership. That would stop rider's being greedy (because that's what it is) and stop the stupidness between each Speedway federation. With regards to the Harris situation, Poland are correct and they should have the call on Harris on Sunday fixtures unless Harris is willing to terminate his contract in Poland.

With you on that but Proctor did well too. The remaining three were dreadful. -

I think Lynn may have been denied an away 3 points. I thought 2 terrific 5-1's pulled back for nothing. Obviously thing's were different in the re-runs. Rye made some fliers but nope, Mick Bates anti King's Lynn allowed him to celebrate in the referee's box with home race winners. -

Also to add, from the 7 Stars fixtures this season only 3 have had their full team. After this week it's gonna be 3 from 9. Considering we're on fixed race night it's disgraceful. So, while the form looks good, it may not have been so good if the full team were available -

Just to add, if Poole had of done what King's Lynn are doing there would be absolute outrage. I think the Rye fans have every right to feel short changed and mugged off. -
No Saturday fixtures in the uk.

British fans at a none Cardiff GP is very few. Maybe not even a 100. Rider's and promoters in recent history are following the circus around Europe more and more. -

I agree, physio is rather different to surgery. At the same time it does depend also on the type of physio as it can be debilitating after a session or 2 -
For me, the history of Matt Ford's win at all costs is coming back to bite him. Rider's of all standards are probably over pricing themselves because they can't trust to keep them in the team. We've seen how rider's are treated like cannon fodder at Poole so to make it worth while rider's want bigger bucks for the risk of a short stay.
