  1. I'm aware of that, but originally it was to be rolling averages after the first greensheets. They now changed it to rolling averages including 2017. This is keeping Poole's team average almost 3 points higher than their actual averages for 2018. This has now stopped Poole bringing in Holder for Shanes. The Pirates management are now having to have a total rethinking, hence the short term signing of Nielsen.
  2. I seems the BSPA/SCB has clicked to the Poole average manipulation too. It's now rolling averages from 20 matches including the season 2017. This now stops the dropping of Shanes for Holder scenario Good to see the authorities on the ball for a change
  3. I think it's clear enough that you can have as many 8 pointers as you like as the rule states the 1 over 8 only applies for the initial team declaration
  4. Just for confirmation for Stevebrum 18.5 TEAM COMPOSITION 18.5.1 A SGB Premiership Team’s initial Declaration must not exceed 42.50 and may include ONLY one rider with an MA of 8.00 or above.
  5. I believe IRR isn't allowed if RR is already in operation. If a team is using R/R and a rider gets injured, the injured rider's rides can only be taken by reserves or 3 rider only heats.
  6. This is the King's Lynn Stars, the most jinx top flight team of all time. Winning the league is all but a pipe dream. Fate always gets in the way.
  7. You know as we all do that not everything is in the rule book.
  8. Absolutely, currently Poole averages show they can replace Shanes with Holder and Holder's average is less than 8. But there is also a rule that is 'in the best interests of British Speedway'. I'm pretty sure if a team tried to re-declare with 9+9+9+6+4+3.5+2 the BSPA would throw it out
  9. The 1 rider over 8 was for the initial team declaration only. After a team has reach their first greensheets (4h 4a) you can have as many riders over 8 as you wish within the 42.5 points limit or like for like replacement.
  10. Be madness to replace Schlein, even with Lindgren. Schlein is always consistent and very reliable. If Wolverhampton wants Lindgren back in it would have to be Thorsell that goes. Schlein adds so much more to the team than just being a rider scoring points. He puts his heart and soul into every club he represents.
  11. There won't be many teams go Wolverhampton and score 40+. Shame no point but encouraging all the same.
  12. I think the referee isn't using the 15m rule correctly. I was under the impression that this ruling was only to be used if a rider was intentionally not clearing the track
  13. Although living just round the corner I'm giving this a wide berth due to weather
  14. Regardless of the weather I'm giving this thread and meeting a wide birth, absolutely pointless.
  15. Are we back on to rolling averages or are the 4h 4a for the greensheets? Currently if 4h 4a Poole could fit Holder for Shanes with 0.01 remaining on the team average.
  16. With the weather forecast I'm not handing over money. The forecast varies greatly from sprinkling showers to thunders storms depending where you look.
  17. The difference: After a standard parade rider's trundle round and more than not use this time to do standing starts, checking out clutches, timing and sprockets etc. With these 'hot laps' it's rolling starts with 1 out lap and 2 full throttle laps. No standing starts allowed or like Craig Cook, you get excluded by red flag. It's all about pure speed, gives no advantage to the meeting set-up as Belle Vue found out.
  18. Madness to underestimate the Pirates. A little bit of average manipulation early season will see the Pirates end up with super strong side with a few changes. They could possibly bring in Holder for Shanes in June with about 0.75 knocked off everyone's average.
  19. What could have been for the Stars but a point away is an excellent result
  20. There's not many times in the past when you could say Iversen has let us down but tonight is one of those days. Lambert maybe a point or 2 more but no qualms about the rest of the 4. All done their jobs tonight.
  21. The Premiership should have gone Monday - Thursday allowed the Championship clubs to also run those night's but they'd have to forego the priority rights to rider's signed up to Premiership clubs. With the Premiership the flagship league they should always hold the priority regardless of assets etc.
  22. That I agree with regards to Kildermand over Holder. We shouldn't feel the rebound from Poole as they're at Wolverhampton on Monday. In fact, if Wolves can nail 50+ that would have the Pirates on the back foot from the off on Wednesday.
  23. This one should be Holder's return to the Pirates line-up. Will certainly add some interest to the meeting, hopefully plenty of booing too for the +0$$ peice
