  1. They run alternative weeks though as the same track but if there is this "same race night" rule (which there isn't) then yes he shouldn't of been allowed
  2. And, if he'd of remained in the PL rather than try and break Poland there's no doubt Cook would have lined up for Edinburgh and Belle Vue
  3. Friday is the Colts race night. They're scheduled 7 currently with 3 more to reschedule
  4. Good luck, hopefully the correct decision will be made and Cook & Stokes are in
  5. There is no rule though. It's just a directive in the rule book that say the MC can decide what ever they wish to suit their need at the time regardless of regulations. There is no rule about D/U on the same race night.
  6. Just to pick up on a bit of Rob Godfrey's statement: "You simply cannot sign a rider when he already rides for a club on your racenight. King's Lynn switched from a Wednesday to a Thursday and as a consequence they had to lose Lewis Kerr from their team as he was already signed to a Thursday night track." This decision was made by the club and the rider jointly. This had absolutely nothing to do with BSPA directive that you can't have a home track on the same night. This came about because Lewis would have to priorities King's Lynn over Ipswich and would damage his earning potential. So Rob, don't add things to statements that you have factually wrong just to back your argument. As already stated, Dan Bewley rides for Belle Vue Colts & Edinburgh Monarchs. He missed the Scottish derby tonight to ride at the National Stadium. Double standards

  8. I do think Arson's comment was more tongue in cheek if anything. Chill peeps
  9. You're right, but that's in that clubs interest to do that. The issue here is that the BSPA have decided that interest, that is 100% wrong when Cooks move to the PL is legitimate
  10. You clearly have no interest in British rider's. Cook can't get a ride abroad and not for the want of trying. Him and his team have worked extremely hard to make that happen. You're asking Cook to run a Speedway career on 28 EL league fixtures. Think man ffs
  11. Correct, Belle Vue hold his 2016 registration. If he was changing PL clubs then it would be through said PL club due to priorities. The priorities are with the EL club in this instance
  12. The BSPA want to be so transparent their Twitter account blocked me
  13. I don't like the Panthers but BSPA, YOU'RE A FOOKIN JOKE AND KILLING SPEEDWAY
  14. That's a coincidence Anyway, congrats in getting your job back Bart. Be nice seeing Knudsen's face around the place for the fans too. Probably has a better idea on how to work a team over Havelock too.
  15. Coventry are going to the wall, not the fault of the fans. They're being delivered a poor product and the best way to show unhappiness is to not pay for it. If you keep paying and make your feeling known to the promotion they won't care because you keep coming back. Everyone was warned when Horton took over and I believe it was part of the Sandhu's grand plan to drive the club to the wall. Easier for planning then, especially when he said Horton was the most fit for purpose to take over. Assume the other potential owners at the time were drug dealer's or something if that was the best option.
  16. It's all above board SF. Cook had an average from 2015 which allows him to ride PL. Rider's with PL averages can miss a complete season (2015 - 2017) and drop back down and it's only right that safety net is there. Especially for British rider's. Just can't make it pay with EL alone and with Poland refusing to give him any rides he's fallen back on the PL. Absolutely not problem with that at all.
  17. I know today's meeting was I Germany but Smolinski's performance was good value. May be worth a punt and can't be as expensive as Bottler Bjerre
  18. Double-Up is fine but we shouldn't have the Elite & Premier League's running on the same nights IMO
  19. Yes. It's the rider's choice, nothing to do with British Speedway as such. Some riders have day jobs, some think they can make a living just riding bikes. If the rider's become amateur or professional the costs to the clubs remain the same as they pay points money. Amateur or professional a No'1s or No'7s bills for racing are still the same, it will not bring the clubs costs down
  20. Within sport, everything seems to go round in circles so never say never. The BSPA are critical in making sure they get things right and in place but they're certainly making hard work of it at the moment.
  21. You're probably right but I don't think it'd be the right thing for British Speedway to close the door on Europe's best just to give Brits Elite rides. It would be a backward step
