  1. Let go racing!!!! Alright, I'll just watch but let's hope it's worth it Good crowd considering it's mid day mid week meeting
  2. I just think that if we rid the EL of top rider's or the average foreigner it gives our up and coming youngsters false hope of how good they are. It will send British speedway backwards. Olly Allen & Simon Stead nailed it on the podcast this morning, if the young Brits are good enough they'll get a team sport
  3. To Be fair, it's not just the GP guys turning their backs on British Speedway is it? Greg Zengota Leon Madsen Jan Kołodziej Tomas H. Jonasson Martin Vaculik Rune Holta Kenneth Bjerre Adrian Miedziński Mikael Max Piotr Protasiewicz Vaclav Milik Peter Ljung Kacper Gomólski Magnus Zetterstroem Timo Lahti Peter Karlsson Linus Sundstroem Kauko Nieminen Jonas Davidsson That list would make a huge difference the the current standard of the EL that aren't GP riders. Why do they not want to be here? He didn't give Britain a miss, he rides for Belle Vue. He gave the PL a miss to better himself. It hasn't worked so rightly so been given a PL slot to fill the diary Can't argue with that. That's the reason the Elite League SHOULD be 1 or 2 nights a week (Monday / Thursday) & try to get the bigger riders back, then all the British riders that don't race abroad can join the PL.
  4. Absolutely right. Just riding Elite League certainly isn't good for a British rider's career
  5. Everyone knows the Poole track is a disgrace, but never mind. When they relayed it a few seasons ago they did it in a week, it shows not having a pop at you by the way phillipsr
  6. Craig had a team place in Poland. Turns up for every practice session but they refused to pick him on race Sunday. This is the reason he's gone to Peterborough. Nothing to do with the lack of racing for Belle Vue as such. He has tried to get into Sweden but has yet to receive an offer Is it allowed, yes because he was a PL rider last season and the rules state you can miss a season then drop back down if required or be within the set average. He could have a 12 point EL average and still ride PL
  7. I have no idea as I can't think of any tracks in the EL that suffer from being to narrow to be fair. Most certainly track conditions around the UK just are not good enough though. The most important piece of the Speedway jigsaw IMO
  8. An excellent 4th edition of the Home Straight podcast, especially regarding the Fast Track rider's. Give it a listen https://www.acast.com/homestraight/episodefourfeaturingspecialguestsammasters
  9. I know what I want but it's never gonna happen. I want an Elite League the bigger tracks in it:- King's Lynn Belle Vue Swindon Coventry Leicester (once turns 1-2 are finished) Sheffield Glasgow Berwick Peterborough Isle of Wight Workington Although smaller, always prepared well: Wolverhampton Somerset Scunthorpe I was the same as you, although he locked up it didn't seem any worse than when riders were trying cutback moves lastnight. The turns are so so tight
  10. 3 point's I can remember Tai mention in an interview somewhere Fixed race night/s UK tracks need widening as far to many have narrow straights and hinder attempts at passing safely going into turns Also some tracks find it acceptable to have bumps and ruts as the norm in the UK, not acceptable
  11. Gives me control over the TV rather than the Wife's usual crap she puts on I just can't stand Lakeside as a race track, every time it's on TV it looks very poorly prepared. Saying that, there were 1-2 good races generally involving Nicholls, Bridger & Steve Worrall. Apart from that abysmal and I'm not just blaming Lakeside. This seems to be the Elite League as a whole the last couple of years. We watch 2 good races out of 15 and we use that as justification of spending £17-£18 a week. WHAT ARE WE DOING & WHY ARE WE PUTTING UP WITH THIS!!!!!!
  12. Kyle had Sepsis? That is serious and extremely lucky it was picked up quickly. Lucky lucky young man. Hopefully he's now all cleared up and back fighting fit soon, wouldn't wish that on anyone
  13. Adam Ellis can ride PL but he'd have to bin Eastbourne
  14. 1 good race does not quantify a good meeting. Absolutely no excuse for the track to be in the condition it is.
  15. I'm so pleased to see King's Lynn's Tom Stokes given a shot at PL. Go get'um lad
  16. That's very true but that's exactly the way I'm gonna stay as that's how I've developed. No good looking rough, then filling yourself with sh!+€ and look worse hey for about £20k
  17. I did something similar at Mildenhall once. Bought fish n chips in the stadium before meeting started, took them back to the car, watched the meeting, drove home then microdinged them. Were still the dogs
  18. Belle Vue are only showing 1 DU rider on the averages in Richie Worrall
  19. Woffy has also appeared on: Skysports with A Life of Tai Skysports kids program Game Changers Been on Talksport with Colin Murray as a co-presenter BT Sports on various different shows BBC Breakfast TV He's far and away done his bit of TV too
  20. Is it just me but I actually preferred the 1 hour slot with all the races than the Live league meetings, including Skysports.
  21. He has, and even appeared on A Question of Sport as World Champion & motor show Fifth Gear.
