  1. Don't have a problem with that though as the averages show Ellis has overtaken Newman so fairs fair imo. If it had to be titled as such, Newman should now be titled the Tier 2 rider
  2. He has and his new bird is full of the crap and lots of fake work too. In my opinion, see looks terrible & women that do it degrade themselves.
  3. Poole couldn't of tried it on as you have to have 2 EDR's in a team at all times. If Poole signed Zmarzlik for Ellis they'd have to replace 1 of their other top 5 for a rider on the EDR list & be under 40.5 team average as they'd of replaced 2 rider's at once.
  4. Horton not knowing what the answer is for changes or not isn't the only one. Every club is in the same position. As the season progresses there will be more rider's getting banged up and possible replacements just not interested. It's got to the point with the EL that even the none Worldy rider's from Poland, Sweden & Denmark are saying no to British Speedway. So it's clear as mud, our league is sh!+ but the BSPA / promoters just ain't having it. Some fans are deluded too thinking chucking in changes willynilly is easy, it quite clearly isn't. I can't stand Horton, any of the Horton's. Quite simple maths with that surname: Horton+Speedway=CompletAndUtterDisaster but on this occasion he's right. Rider's quite simply are not there to choose. The EL is in a none repairable state, 2017+ looks horrendous. More so in the respect that Coventry don't look as though they'll be around

  7. Is £17 for speedway expensive. For me it is because I don't believe I'm getting value for money. If the racing was better £17 would be a bargain. It all comes down to VFM. The biggest thing for me is that all kids under high school age should be free. First year of high school to 21 should be £5. Full time students over 21 £10 That could make a difference to swelling the attendance but not necessarily clubs income
  8. Just to let you know that Jack Parkinson-Blackburn will be on the HomeStraightEDP podcast this Thursday. Can be found here:- https://www.acast.com/homestraight
  9. They do get postponed but the weather has to be really bad. Generally it's based on how it may affect attendances rather than participant health and safety.
  10. It definitely hasn't ended. If you ask nicely it could be for a full 12 months too not just 3
  11. So after all the previous at Belle Vue, you think it would be a massive selling point to the Belle Vue punter's for them to watch tractors and bladers do their stuff for a couple of hours just to get a meeting on? Yeh course, that will bring the punter's back. Seriously!!!! Personally, Belle Vue have made the correct call. They really need to make sure all meetings now run issue free after the start they've had or there'll have much bigger issues financially later on once the stadium is finally under Belle Vue control.
  12. As a huge Woffinden fan, I was disappointed with his interview with Brandon in tonight's GP. Came across as a bit of a jumped up spoilt brat for my liking. Normally one of the best and most articulate when interviewed.
  13. I think the opposite. Leave home at 8.30 and trundle down, then be home no later than 7pm for those working the following day. I'd say it's very considerate.
  14. If Huckenbeck can go to reserve it won't be for long as he only has 2 away meetings to complete for an average.
  15. Have no idea where & how easy it is to do that?
  16. I'd advise nobody should buy online tickets for any speedway except Cardiff. This is a Bank Holiday fixture so no excuse to allow extra time for the ticket office.
  17. Iversen to stay for the forseeable future http://www.kingslynnstars.co/news.php?extend.30147
  18. Need to check but I'm not sure No'8s can move to reserve?
  19. Does speedway today ever care about the fans? We all know the answer to that
  20. as mentioned earlier, putting 2+2 together it seems the decision was made early on by the rider's in the changing rooms. Sky says hold off the official announcement until they go live on air. This would be why none of the Poole rider's even got changed.
  21. Don't agree, more like today's rider's have no idea how throttle control works & can't manage their set-up's accordingly. We're in a age now where the throttle cable needs to be at it's most stretched.
  22. Thing is, Chapman said it straight after the AGM how he'd of done it very differently. Promoters saying now it wasn't them just look like they're just trying to remove themselves from blame. If so many Promoters were 'disillusioned' after the AGM why on earth was it not recalled?!? They all had plenty of time to fix the EDR problems from day 1.
  23. Keith Chapman said exactly the same thing. Saying if he'd of been chairman for this season he'd of shredded all plans and started again.
