  1. For me, I don't think you can really tell what a rider's future holds until they've had their first big bang up & how they come back from it. But this Bewley kid does sound promising and fingers crossed for British Speedway he makes it because we're truly lacking any future on the international scene right now
  2. Might even tempt me over to the gypsy site on a couple of occasions to shout for the opposition
  3. Not now they won't, quite a few will just come out because it's Craig Cook. A massive draw for any Premier League side and Peterborough now look pretty threatening for PL honours. Congratulations to the Panthers promotion
  4. Common sense at last, Craig Cook rightly allowed back into the Premier League in the best interested of British Speedway and also allows a young guy the chance to prove himself in Tom Stokes

  6. Correct, this current team can pull more in with displays and a few more results like last night. The crowds will be back no problem then
  7. Think he gave that away when he said he's already as good as Tai Woffinden at last year's British Final and his arrogance at stepping up into a 1-5 position. IMO, he's someone who has absolutely no idea & totally clueless on his own ability. Running before he can walk springs to mind
  8. Not everyone is belittling Newman or winding up Poole fans, just giving opinion. My opinion, I'd definitely have Worrall over Newman simply because I think he's a better racer & find Newman more of a trapper and think Worrall would fair better in a 1-5 position. It may not be the case at all. I don't see neither becoming full GB International riders though. I didn't mention Garrity because he'll never be as good as either. Jumped up, big headed, dangerous lunatic
  9. Of course, but I was thinking in terms of maybe Belle Vue could of needed the days just gone to give the paying public some confidence for 3-4 meetings after all the previous. Any threat of weather interference could affect the attendances hugely
  10. Just seen the weather for Wednesday, it does look as thought the Aces have run over an awful lot of black cats
  11. How does the reserve situation work in Sweden Ghosty? Can they take 6-7 rides like in the UK? On current form having Kasprzak as a reserve is lethal if so
  12. The crowd would have been 4 times bigger last night if it wasn't on TV. Over time people get use to mid week & in 2017 there may be no option but to like mid week if the race night's get moved to just 1-2 days
  13. Was going to put this on the David Hemsley thread but not sure it's appropriate on there. Is there anywhere else Coventry could go (realistically before some smart a** says Ricoh Arena again) other than Leicester where the fans will follow? Just think if Coventry went to Leicester, with how terrible the racing is there, that could be more damaging to the promotion & or the club due to the lack of support. I'm not sure Bee's fans will follow the club to Leicester knowing just how bad the racing will be. IMO wouldn't Perry Barr be the more logical option?!?
  14. How things change hey? 20 year ago 30 would be looking towards retirement but now, it seems to be the new beginning
  15. Hopefully Poole and Swindon were contacted first
  16. After such a cracking meeting I just had a moment of sadness - Brandon closes it's does to Speedway in 6 months time, just 6 months. When you see Speedway like that, it's a fairly depressing thought that it's being allowed to happen
  17. Rather than moan I have to say I'm quite enjoying tonight's meeting
  18. Hemsley certainly has been the good, the bad and the ugly of Leicester Speedway. At the same time this could be really bad as the property developers will get wind of this pretty quick
  19. Why would an EGM be called? Chapman was the only one at the time to voice his displeasure. The others hadn't started shouting until the season had already started. What's he supposed to do? Scrap the league and start from scratch in June? There's some unrealistic views of Chapman's rein so far. From the get go, he said judge him from 2017 on, 2016's a rightoff Knowing Chapman as us Stars fans do he'd of done exactly as you suggest. But, you nailed on a previous thread when us fans were called thick, biased and what ever the other one was. Chapman is one voice, I fear even though he's Chairman at the end of the day he's still only one voice. What can a chairman do if all the other thicko's vote the opposite?!?
  20. All things 2016 were done and dusted before Chapman was voted in as Chairman. You know that. As soon as the AGM'S was over Chapman said he'd of done things very different for 2016. The only promoter to say such words immediately after. The other promoters are only crying about it now. They're the thick one's who are so short sighted. Obviously we have no idea what goes on but Chapman was the first and only to say it was bad. The other's didn't see what was wrong until their teams started racing.
  21. Glad I didn't spend £20 now. Haven't read any rave reviews about the King's Lynn meeting. Your right, our track is dog turd compared to as little as 5 years ago. I honestly can't put a finger what's gone so badly wrong apart from our previous track man Huggy was sacked because of an H&S issue.
  22. Looks an excellent race track. Super fast Poles & Danes will murder us round there in the SWC
  23. Don't think we'll see Harris back in the GP series ever again after this year.
  24. No he can't be in 2 places at once, but he'd of been a D/U and Belle Vue may have ran with a partner with him. Someone like Simon Stead who isn't interested in full time Elite. Similar to Lakeside with Kennett / Lawson
