  1. Injuries?!? Get any now and there's f'all to being in.
  2. Hopefully after tonight we won't be discussing team changes but a bright future going forward. Tonight is the night I'd love a 60-30 in the Stars favour with good racing. Sunshine Speedway, there's nothing better
  3. The thing for Buster is he's never had any need to reduce admission in the past as the fans seem to turn up regardless, whether on TV or not. That's a good thing, pretty much the same down Dorset too is it not?
  4. Press release shows admission as £17. Buster will never reduce admission under any circumstances.
  5. Know what you mean but I'm not sure at what point interviews should take place though?!? There's never a quiet time at the Adrian Flux Arena, especially on the 1st turn
  6. Maybe harsh but he annoyed the hell out of me week in week out. You're right that Bennett was a tough act to follow but Kevin did initially take over, doing a good. Not sure why he wasn't kept on then rather than this other chap
  7. Not sure about Kevin being permanent but I do know the other chap has been fired
  8. Proof was in the pudding last night that the racing lines are still there. It also proved that maybe some rider in the team don't want it enough (Kenneth Bjerre). Another Milik / Lambert type rider would make us title contenders imo Also disappointing Bjerre didn't feel the need to ride round on a parade at the end. Next week is the real challenge and will give a better idea as to where we're at going forward.
  9. When you have a track safe enough to race on the fence panels will be just fine thanks, not like Poole #BigDipper 👍
  10. They've had all day to prepare the perfect track for the cameras, this has been a shocker.
  11. Mid season review from me is: Even though we sit in a playoff position I've found it painful sometimes watching the Stars on the Saddlebow terraces. The running and the meetings themselves in the main have been dreadfully boring drawn out affairs. Been supporting the club for over 20 years and in terms of enjoyment, this has been the worst season ever for me. The only shining light that's keeping me interested is Robert Lambert. The only home rider to provide any on track entertainment
  12. In hindsight Aces v Bees would have been better but this match should have been equally competitive. If Sky had been in Manchester I'm sure that would have been just as sh!te. Just the way it rolls sometimes
  13. Normally I'd give the Lakeside track some stick for producing crap racing on TV but tonight, apart from that Tobias MuesliKack fella Wolves have been terrible
  14. Anyone buzzing their nips off for this one. For me it's getting a look at the new boy Milik and Robert Lambert. Other than that should be a dead cert home win. _____________________________________________________________________ Press Release from klstars.co.uk STARS OUT FOR REVENGE AGAINST LAKESIDE Posted on June 22nd, 2015 Thursday night, 7:30pm, sees the King’s Lynn ‘Roger Warnes Transport’ Stars host Lakeside at the Adrian Flux Arena, and after last weeks defeat to the Hammers, nothing less than a win will do. The Stars return to Saddlebow Road almost a month after their last home fixture due to the World Cup break, and boss Rob Lyon has changed his team around for the meeting with new signing Vaclav Milik set to make his debut. It will the first time this season that the top five will be in a different order as Lyon attempts to get his side back to winning ways. Stars number one and captain Niels-Kristian Iversen is the only rider to keep his position. Lyon has switched Nicklas Porsing to the number two position in the team with Robert Lambert moving to number four. Heat leader Kenneth Bjerre vacates the number five position for Milik and will race at number three instead, while reserve pairing Ashley Morris and Lewis Kerr remain unchanged. Explaining his change, Lyon said: “I have decided to move the team line up around for this match and freshen things up to see how best we accommodate our new signing. Hopefully the move will work out well for us and we can get our season back on track once again.” The visiting Hammers have been forced into two changes for the meeting. Rider replacement will be used for Kim Nilsson (Swedish fixture) and at reserve, Carl Wilkinson replaces Ashley Birks (Sheffield fixture). Gates will open at 6pm on Thursday with the parade taking place at 7:30pm. Admission prices: Adults £17, Concessions £14, Juniors £5, Kids under 11 go FREE. King’s Lynn Stars 1. Niels-Kristian Iversen, 2. Nicklas Porsing, 3. Kenneth Bjerre, 4. Robert Lambert, 5. Vaclav Milik, 6. Ashley Morris, 7. Lewis Kerr Lakeside Hammers 1. Andreas Jonsson, 2. Mikkel Bech, 3. Edward Kennett, 4. Richard Lawson, 5. Kim Nilsson R/R, 6. Adam Ellis, 7. Carl Wilkinson (G)
  15. Of course it's right. I'm not allowed to just pick up roots and move to Australia without meeting their work permit & financial criteria so the same stands here. Can't maintain a 7 average here, see you later. The only issue for me is the same or similar policy can't be given to the crap Europeans too
  16. Nothing to discuss. Seasons gone flat for me. Desperate for next week to come round to have a look at Milik and see what Lambert can do again but everything else for me is just muh.
  17. Utter rubbish. If Pedersen rode his bike the way he does on the road he'd of probably be up for death by dangerous riding by now. You can't take what goes on in sport to the real world. It's far too separated. Stupid to make comparison. But, at the end of the day I'd still rather have Pedersen than Hancock lining up in my team. Hancock has gone up 10 fold in my appreciation of him though. Love it when a rivalry spills over, brings an exciting edge to the sport. Something that's seriously lacking over the last few years.
  18. Bravo Greg Hancock. If he wasn't a legend to some, surely he is now. As good as, if not better than the Boyce v Gollob. What speedway should be about, rivalries alive and kicking
  19. Dreadful meeting. The racing today will put the multi 100's of fans from attending meetings ever again. I hope the BSI realise this is now 2015, not 1985. Us fans are desperate for FTG's, follow the leader racing we normally see week in week out. All this overtaking is ridiculous, pathetic and very dangerous. I could never watch that week in week out
  20. I get the feeling you have a problem with Lambert
  21. Yeah all right Shovlar, wind it in. We're trying to be nice to you guys, don't spoil it
  22. Pearson and Tatum gave Darcy the opportunity on a plate, even giving him the exact sentences to repeat and failed to take any of it in. Even when asked if he saw this as a last chance he pretty much chuckled under his breath with a no not at all. Arrogance was in abundance in front of the camera's. Didn't seem to have any regret at all.
  23. Even though we were humiliated in front of the camera's there was some good racing. That I'd say was one of the best prepared tracks for Poole in a while with a racing line inside and out. Poole get a lot (& often justified) criticism, tonight all round they get a hell of a lot of praise from me. Absolutely top draw stuff from Magic too, do love watching that lad
