  1. Might just tell the wife I'm constipated and pop to the bathroom
  2. Why on earth did they just translate Kildermand when he was speaking in English
  3. Arrogance The only arrogance is coming from the PL and their fans for refusing to see the bigger picture that change is required throughout speedway and not just the EL for the benefit of British Speedway and our own British riders. As a King's Lynn fan I'm fully aware of the workings of all 3 levels of racing. Change is required from top to bottom. British Speedway needs the double up option and for it to work correctly the Premier League can't race the same night's as the Elite League. That's not arrogance, it's bloody common sense for goodness sake
  4. I've been on the same wave as Tai for many years but 1 single race night would be impossible. After a little bit of homework though it does look like all EL tracks could race Monday's or Thursday's. No excuses 8-10 teams Have the league set to 1 home and away fixture against each team (16-18 fixtures) + playoffs Only 1 fixture per week home or away The Premier League can't race on these 2 nights All riders outside the GP's / SEC can ride for Premier League clubs (also excluded are those riding both Swedish & Polish Elite) 1 British U24 at reserve 1 U20 Fast Track Rider at reserve (National League rider in the last 3 years) Adjust current race format having the home U24 reserve racing with his home top 2 heatleaders but not meet the away top 2. The home U20 FTR races with the home 3rd Average Rider but not against any of the away top 3 Average Rider's Scrap the 2nd reserve race Fixed team positions according to averages 1. Top Average Rider 2. 4th Average Rider 3. 3rd Average Rider 4. 5th Average Rider 5. 2nd Average Rider 6. Brit U24 7. U20 FTR
  5. To be fair, there was more passing after the 1st 2nd bend than what Leicester has seen all season. Speedway Updates give a fair indication of that. Good racing isn't always about a pass. Chasing back wheels is as good as a pass and their was plenty of that last night with quality defending from the guys in front. Chase a back wheel round Leicester and you'll crash.
  6. I think the highest scoring rider will join Iversen, MJJ & Pedersen in the race-off / final. I like what the Danes have done as they're not gonna be bottom of the table
  7. Anyone missing Rob Lyon as GO boss yet? The only manager we've had that had his eye on the future yet it wasn't what the BSPA wanted so he quit. Other than Rob they've all been the same, picking their mates and that's what it is at the end of the day
  8. I've said exactly that for years. It's not the Worldy foreigners that brings the crowds in, it's home grown talent and if they're local rider's that's even better. 100% why we have to stick with the fast track system or similar with only British at reserve. Look after our own is No'1 priority
  9. Team for King's Lynn confirmed as Woffinden Harris Stead King Cook as reserve
  10. Does anyone honestly believe a 2nd GP in a substantial sized stadium would be a success? Are you really saying the attendance at the Cardiff GP wouldn't be affected? Dear oh dear. If the UK was to take on a 2nd GP it would have to be at an already established track (likely to be Belle Vue if & when built) with about 3-5,000 capacity. There is absolutely no way in any universe 2 temporary tracks with 50,000+ capacities would even be half full. It's also the same people suggesting the 2 stadium idea that in the past has battered the Cardiff GP for already being pretty much half empty. Also, with Cardiff being July, at which point of the season should the 2nd GP be held with it being open to the UK elements
  11. Have you quoted the wrong post? No complaints from me about cost but yes you're right. When a Wembley stadium event is on it's very expensive.
  12. The only spoiler yesterday was the Fanzone. Didn't even bother going into the mixer as there were far too many people in such a small area. When I met up with my sis a bit later she said that Monster tent stopped handing out drinks due to the over crowding. Everything else was perfection. Why anyone would suggest that the British GP should move to Wembley or anywhere else in fact need to visit the doctor. Cardiff is simply the Monaco of speedway and is perfectly suited to any weather conditions thrown at it.
  13. Bradford track, Millennium Stadium, in King's Lynn. Regardless of what some may deceive as a dream, I just couldn't go against my own people for love nor money
  14. How I understand it (so not very well ) is that the SEC is under the 'European FIM' and not 'The FIM' & there's been some internal wrangling between the 2 parties over it. British Speedway only recognise the official FIM but I do believe the official FIM are becoming swayed to the SEC so in the near future all riders will be competing.
  15. Man, I love Peter Kildermand all action and excitement from start to finish
  16. It's been a Rugby pitch from day 1. The 5-a-side and hockey pitches are on the outsides of the stadium
  17. And I have to say, adding to the terrific racing, Jack Burnicle & Sam Ermolenko has been very good tonight too. The whole show from start to now has been bang on
  18. Absolutely spot on yet PL fans can't get their heads round it at all. The best circuits in the UK are:- Somerset Peterborough King's Lynn Wolverhampton Scunthorpe Sheffield After that small bunch it's much of a muchness with the worst circuits beings Rye House Eastbourne Lakeside Leicester Belle Vue Edinburgh Personally, if speedway could afford it I'd put the best race tracks in the top league rather than bringing or leaving out the top riders. Doesn't matter how good a rider is, if the racing is sh!yte it will remain so at the worst tracks regardless.
  19. So is none of those but an identical Peterborough track
