Cook, Vissing and Kennett banned.
Daniel Smith replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If I'm correct, some of Craig's complaint is to do with how close Vatcher is to Jon Cook and Vatcher's shown bias in the lack of punishment towards one of the Dugard's. Also, maybe Lewis Kerr has an opinion in the defence of Craig Cook seeing as they're King's Lynn team mates but were rivals at Eastbourne. If any rider was to deserve the longest ban it should have been Kennett. He got involved in something that had nothing to do with him. -

Explain. If the showground closes, where would you lay the blame? It 100% isn't the fans fault for not wanting to waste money being not entertained is it -

DC watches his Speedway at King's Lynn so that's exactly what he's saying. Racings crap, atmospheres crap but it's still value for money Apparently, Speedway fans should keep paying their hard earned £18 even though they're not enjoying the product If tracks close down, the finger is firmly on the owner, not being able to bring in enough punters to make it sustainable. That's where the buck stops. No blame and finger pointing should be had towards the fans at all. Fans are NOT responsible for the death of a once (and still can be) a great sport -

You're right, the stats don't lie, every time Woffy is in the side performances improve dramatically. That has sweet FA to do with Rosco. He doesn't even have to call to exclude Woffy if he wanted to. Thanks to Rob Painter and Vicky Blackwell, Rosco is nothing more than a puppet and only has the task of picking 2 riders for the SON & each heat (Woffy picks himself & Rosco still ball's up). The training sessions etc are zero to do with Puppet Rosco. -

So, because he's wasting money we should kiss his a$$ and tell him what a wonderful job he's doing?? Totally ignoring the total contempt in the way he treats his customers?? -

Eastbourne v Glasgow Semi Final
Daniel Smith replied to Hunters's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
How can the SCB fine Craig?!? No regulations state that bikes shouldn't be ridden during a parade. In fact, some clubs do parades with rider's going round on their bikes. The only thing that should have happened is a little word in the ear to the Glasgow manager to have a word with his team. As for the safety of children on the centre green, that is the responsibility of Eastbourne to not allow them to leave the area until parade has ended. If people / youngsters were running across the track during parade then the Eastbourne management need to have a long hard look at themselves rather than blaming Glasgow. If people / youngsters wasn't on track then there wasn't a problem, only the "have a go hero" marshall started and created one. From the short video, if any fines are to be handed out, it should be to the Eastbourne management for failing to control their staff, exacerbating the tension with centre green announcements etc. Craig Cook (and other Glasgow rider's) according to Speedway regulations are totally the innocent party. -
Reshape existing tracks
Daniel Smith replied to OveFundinFan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Everyone knows what needs to be done but we have a stubborn owner. Buster once had a dream that the AFA would be a permanent home to British Speedway with GP's, World Cups etc but the National Speedway Stadium has put paid to that dream. I believe stadium development will now stall completely. At the end of the day, we know the track material will not change and neither will the track shape unfortunately. -

King's Lynn definitely needs a width adjustment. ½ meter on the bends with more banking would make a significant difference to start. -

Banned? What have I missed?!? -
The part I've highlighted is the very reason I feel one big league would be a bigger disaster to the sport than the 2 main leagues now. Guests will still be needed and due to the lack of rider availability in 1 big league, teams will be riding with gueat riders for far longer. Likely a whole season as rider's struggle to be found.

Could be catastrophic for the AFA attendances too. Best wishes to Robert, fingers crossed he will be back racing soon, but not to soon. Rest up lad

And his first time back since his sacking so had a bit more between his teeth, something to prove. -
It wouldn't necessarily make the bike that much slower but they'd be more controllable at a lower rev plus more throttle control instead of the Zmarzlik theory of stretching the cable as far as it goes and just hold on. You can still make the exhaust at current or lower levels of noise with clever theory on a straight through exhaust.

I don't think the argument between upright and laydown engines is the beginning of the sports demise as such. It's purely mythical and coincidental. It's more the materials / improved technology used that has increased speeds and reliability of the first laydown. As it was then far superior to the old upright in tech / material, other engine manufacturers acted like sheep and copied. Human nature does this in all walks of life. Look at houses, cars, mobile phones etc etc. Someone comes up with an idea, everyone else copies. If a modern engine supplier produces an upright today, it would 100% perform just as well as a laydown so the current problem actually doesn't go away. First and foremost, in my opinion, the FIM should bring the engine capacity down from 500cc to 450cc and allow straight through / silencer exhaust system.

I have no problem with Tree's or anyone else enjoying Speedway. Seeing as I get criticism for being only negative (which I am with regards to the King's Lynn owner) then the same has to said of those that only see positive does it not? As many have said numerous times this year and previous at King's Lynn, the atmosphere is flat, racing none existent etc etc. Would be interested to know from those that are still so in love with King's Lynn, what it is that genuinely keeps them going? In terms of Belle Vue, they do have the best track in the world but they haven't got the same promoting mentally as Glasgow & Isle of Wight. These clubs make their fans feel included and listened too. -

We get plenty of ridicule for having a differing opinion. It's open to all. When in my case, one man has destroyed my love of going home and away watching the Stars this 'all things rosy in the garden' angers me. Buster is in full control of King's Lynn and Peterborough and it ain't particularly going well is it? Fortunately for Ipswich, Chris Louis made sure he remains in control of all things Ipswich otherwise we'd of more likely than not had a melt down their too from fans. Buster is single handedly driving many many more away from the sport than brining them in through the turnstiles. I just don't see where the positives are in Speedway under his control. Under his tenure the future is declining at a rapid speed. There are just 2 positives in British Speedway right now and they're either end of the UK in Glasgow and Isle of Wight. -

So, the crowd was good because of record 50/50 sales and give aways Nothing at all to do with the first week of school holidays so more 'free child admissions' would be in attendance? You'll never hear a negative just in case it gets back to Buster and she's fired from the supporters club. What Tree's posts is more propaganda than her actual own opinion of what's going on at King's Lynn. The truth of what Buster is like is also proven by the happenings at Peterborough. The man has become seriously delusional on what people want in Speedway. I can categorically say with my hand on heart, I could produce a better race track than Buster with a days work on the track. -

Glasgow took him on with a 10.19 average this year, a point here and there won't make a difference. Glasgow know Cookie puts bums on seats, he's the best in the Championship. He's well worth the value of an 11 average at that level. -

The difference between Cook and Fricke is 9 years of age. Cookie now at 32 would make a huge mistake giving up Championship Speedway.
